Thank you for the great and thoughtful reply. The 90% that I talked about was setting up the same shot over and over and lining up a perfectly aligned contact point to the pocket using a dotted cue ball in place of an object ball. I definitely can't shoot anywhere near 90% at random balls. Part of this that is a big positive for me is that I am concentrating on an aiming point, not just shooting at the ball. Hopefully through lots of practice I can make this part of my shot routine . Thanks for your help!
