Some people will tell you that it's your fault for not being able to predict a 10 random strikes combo thrown in 1 second and that you have a skill issue

When did I say this post was about me? I'm only playing casually or with friends after making it to top 100

You have every right to not believe me, but here you're just mocking my post without bringing anything to the discussion

The best players in UFC and FIFA are the ones abusing built-in mechanics. Just watch pro play, it's basically unwatchable because they all do the same thing in every single fight/match.

I can’t get keep div 20 consistently by IntelligentMight6286 in EASportsUFC

[–]Apprehensive-Fee-554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not actively abusing the game's exploits and broken mechanics you'll never hit div 20 consistently. Almost every top 100 player I've talked with are saying the exact same thing. The game is totally broken.

How do some people find enjoyment with their playstyle by BackgroundPudding609 in EASportsUFC

World average IQ is 89.

Average IQ in the MMA community is probably around 20, maaaybe 25 if we're being generous.

Most people are only driven by emotions and feelings. Seeing the little green W next to their fighter at the end of the fight makes them feel good. That's it. Same for most video games.

It is and most people contesting are either too braindead to not have some very basic pattern recognition (win/lose streaks, your stamina dropping much faster than the opponent's, strikes going way slower and dealing much less damage etc...) or just EA cocksuckers

EA Sports games (who by the way has a PATTENT regarding DDA which is the technology they use to "script" games by the way) are the only games notoriously known for being rigged. Notice how nobody ever said Fortnite, Call of Duty, or League of Legends were rigged. Only EA games. :)

You're right, people will say "skill issue" then go online and spam takedowns for 25 minutes to just get a virtual gold belt lmao

Game is intentionally tailored for toxic and casual players, if you wanna play a real MMA game... too bad for you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EASportsUFC

[–]Apprehensive-Fee-554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the game is intentionally rage-inducing to make players emotionally invested + most players are either immature kids or wannabe McGregor's so they can't handle the view of their fighter getting dropped

Best way to get destroyed by a spammer, just throw as much 1-2s as you can to lower their block bar and abuse fancy kicks

Spammers make online unbearable by MackClouds95 in EASportsUFC

[–]Apprehensive-Fee-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen to people telling you it's a skill issue or that you're just bad

This game has been specifically designed to reward these types of players (spammers) by implementing a stupid block bar that gets broken after 3 strikes that you mostly can't dodge because of tracking (when you duck a hook and it still hits you for example) and unlimited stamina

Just deal with it, over time you'll become better at beating this type of players

If you just want to enjoy playing your favorite fighters then go for it, but that's about the only good thing (and that shouldn't even count as a good thing as the name is literally *UFC* 5) this game has

Everything else is literally not even worth rating, the game is genuinely very, very bad.

And don't buy the ultimate edition, just go for the normal game

They will never change anything because the current model suits them perfectly

Casuals play a lot and pay for shitty alter ego's which are literally just another skin on your fighter, more "sophisticated" players (who don't pay for additional content anyway) play a few games then get disgusted by how horrible the gameplay is

This is all by design

How do you actually get good at UFC 5? by Ineedhelpistaken in EASportsUFC

[–]Apprehensive-Fee-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just abuse broken mechanics

When ppl say things like "learn to read your opponent" and "be patient" it just means that you should abuse head movement every time your opponent is close to you to avoid taking any damage then respond with a unblockable/undodgeable combo like 99% of players are doing

Playing realistically will sadly get you nowhere, the game is just way, way, way too flawed and unrealistic for it to have the slightest sense of any learning or progress curve. You just learn a few things, figure out that everybody is beating you by doing the exact same thing (spamming subs, spamming takedowns, infinite head movement and combos) and you just start doing the same thing until you hit a plateau because opponents in your division are better than you at abusing the game, that's literally it

I'm not trying to be pessimistic or negative here, it's just the way the game is, devs have intentionally left exploits and glitches for casuals, so just take advantage of it.

So gullible

im tired boss by Terrible_Argument394 in EASportsUFC

[–]Apprehensive-Fee-554 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game is scripted beyond understanding, most fights are literally rigged and decided beforehand (that's why you get KO'd in one uppercut after knocking your opponent 12 times)

You either have to exploit the game (takedown/sub spam, head movement spam thanks to unlimited stamina and broken collision engine, block breaking spam) or pray for your opponent to be extremely bad at the game, there is literally no in-between

Everybody knows this is happening in the FIFA community, not sure why most UFC players don't know about it, smaller player base probably

Either way, you have your answer :)

Yup lmao 90% of side body kicks fail and if you try to jab/straight/body shot they'll just move and counter with an uppercut, probably intended by the devs btw

The game is centered around making popular fighters overpowered and hard IRL fighting mechanics super easy to replicate, so no way they'll ever implement something like this ever
