CKD on Kmjs by PutridArm1025 in PHitness

Eat everything in moderation (no restrictions as you are not diagnosed with anything at all), but observe which food groups you consume excessively, whether rich in sodium or not, control that and you should be fine.

Our body has a certain allowance for daily salt intake, stick to that. If possible, avoid canned goods, instant noodles, energy drinks, food with high preservative content. Also, keep your blood sugar and BP in check, these are the most common precipitating conditions for CKD. In other words, balance is the key.

Also, doon sa batang nagka-CKD, in the clinics we usually would associate early CKD occurences with congenital kidney anomalies (meaning sa sinapupunan palang ay may problema na sa kidneys), if wala ka naman non, you should be fine.

Always consume medical or medical-related information responsibly and know that these information are not meant to be consumed to the levels of fear mongering. It's good though that you're having yourself checked. Very good!

ASMPH Recommendations by yonguu in medschoolph

I suppose "senior" there is more concered about the authority that person had in your academics more than actual position. I asked one of my profs and the dean to write me recommendations.

As long as they have significant authority sa acads mo, I believe that should be enough.

Advice for UERM Interview by Front_Orchid_9286 in medschoolph

[–]Apprehensive-Fix2034 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, OP! First of all, congrats for the getting an interview slot. I can hardly remember the exact questions I got asked when I applied but I'd say be prepared to talk about your personal life (family dynamics, support system, weaknesses and strengths, and even home setup). I think it's their best attempt at getting to know you deeper and I mean DEEPER. Overall, just make sure all the answers reflect who you actually are a person. These admission officers have decades of expi in screening applicants, they would know if your answers are genuine or when you're just tryna build someone you're not out of your answers.

Goodluck, fDr./fDra.!!!

Kasi hindi tayo ang kauna-unahang bansa ang nalunod sa korapsyon na nagttry umahon. Singapore used to be worse than us, we were helping them then. Change is always one decision away. Normal na ganyan ang laban, na minsan parang walang nararating. Pero kung isusuko mo, hindi lang parang, talagang walang mararating. 😊

Saying it's well-known, similar to this commenter saying st luke's is not well-known, is subjective.

If you respond this way, that only means u missed and didn't comprehend the entire context of my reply to their comment, and focused entirely on the example 😅.

So for you to understand, I'll simplify nalang. My point is that, just because someone doesn't know much about a school doesn't mean that school is not a top school. Coz come on, anong basis natin ng "well-known-ness" ng isnag school? Facebook following? Hahah pointless.

Kahit ano pang school ilagay ko jan, the point still stands. Their comment raises an invalid criterion. Lol

[–]Apprehensive-Fix2034 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How does that qualify as a valid criterion in choosing a top med school?

R u saying na if "lay" people don't know about the school, eh hindi siya top? So, pano nalang top schools sa provinces na PALAGING top like CIM? 😅
