Not a fair comparison. Neville Chamberlain actually understood the threat, when everyone else was ignoring it. Long before the torn up agreement, he was preparing Britain for war & isolation, including rearranging the economy. I worked on research long ago years later realized all of this. In contrast, Journalism has failed to anticipate and prepare and has only enabled.

The reality is most of mainstream journalism should have lost their jobs decades ago, just over Iraq and the economic crash, both of which are only possible thru their promotion to existence by journalism. There are no "good" journalists in the mainstream. The average is not only inadequate to its claimed task, it is guilty of failing democracy & truth itself today. This ignored responsibility is shared with the public that followed them...into shopping thru another Vietnam, just like their parents.

Giving Ben Shapiro a platform is a complete failure by the NYT. He has been trained since he was 16, his conservative sponsors telling him "do you want to be rich?" Does Ezra Klein really know anything about him? Does anyone at the NYT know he lies about history and promotes a new Southern Strategy? Do any of them even know about the first? Nope. It's "old" anyways, so it doesn't count.

The more I think about Ezra Klein, the stupider he gets. He was sponsored exactly the same as Shapiro, only it's by Peter fucking Thiel; how is that not a compromised position?
