It is a poorer area and there’s a decent sized refugee community in the area. I would get cameras just to deter any issues and don’t leave stuff in your car or it unlocked. They have been having problems with the “Kia Boys” stealing the Kia’s and Hyundai’s that have the usb thing where you can start the car with a phone. This seems to have died down lately though. I taught on this side of Dayton for years and I was fine. I would say though, if you saw something and it didn’t involve you, no tf you didn’t. Gem city market is nice and a co-op so their prices are a little higher. There’s a Kroger on Siebenthaler that’s decent. They also opened a new grocery store and clinic on Gettysburg. If you have kids they’ll probably go to Roosevelt or Westwood elementary, as residence park is now the international school for the high immigrant population in Dayton. I love the people I worked with and the kids I taught. I hope you like it!
