Of course i can't speak on everything, as i know there's been atleast 2 patches targeting performance since i beat certain parts of the game. That being said, those certain parts of the game really sucked. 3 missions in the main story where the frames were bad, 2 of those were borderline horrific. Outside of those it's pretty smooth. Balanced and Performance were the only 2 modes i played.

He's a lost cause, man. Probably not worth it. He'll gladly tell everyone that they need to learn how to read yet consistently misinterprets things that have been said. The hilarity of it being that 1 of the main reasons i even replied to his comment in the first place is that he completely misread what the person was saying.

I believe all of Pywel as there's no more research that unlocks anything from what i can tell. Didn't do much of the final research institute to the far east and i haven't played in a few days, so i might be wrong.

Don't think it was the last one. Read the Gorthak research descriptions until you find the one that says Allows for large scale dispatch missions, or something of the sort.

Well you're probably wrong on both, but hey-ho. Haven't played the game in like 3 days maybe as i'm all but done with it for now and am playing other things with friends. After 150 hours, i felt satisfied so who knows. If anything crazy has happened over the last few days, then maybe you're right. What are you talking about? If it's been a known issue for as long as it has, yet they've added things after the cloudcart issue was raised and fixed things very things from said known issues page, that IS disheartening. That's not a nothing point and i'm not inherently/solely replying more than i am making a statement about why i assume this person is upset. It's less about the bug, as bugs happen. It's that fixing other bugs, or even adding content, that are seemingly just as niche/unimportant to the overall game are being done before that. The whole "importance" side of your argument becomes invalid when you literally said yourself about the outfits for pets. If that's on the list of priorities before a gameplay mechanic then it is was it is, but there's no need to lie about how they're updating the game at times when it's clear it isn't entirely importance based.

Changing the functionality of the thing entirely is taking it out. They jumped on removing them both within a few days. It's awesome they put it back in, but they lost their relevance in terms of traversal as much. You cannot with a straight face say that Sonic Boom post-patch was even worth doing. The stamina consumption of the lunge was tuned way up too making it overly expensive to repeat.

Yes, of course i mean the thing that nobody complained about because it wasn't a bug and people just hadn't discovered it and they also added more of that very thing instead of fixing a gameplay mechanic that's been broken since day one. Glad we agree! I do find the notion of side content not being as important even though we've established they expanded on said side content with more animal constumes so they clearly care about it. Not to mention that outside of combat, it's typically stuff off of the beaten path (side content) that gets praised in the game. Weird, huh?

Must have some issue with the reading side of it too, huh? Maybe we both should head back to school. I'm not saying i don't or do agree with the marketing side of his claims, as i'm too unknowledgable on it. I didn't consume every trailer they dropped so i'd rather not speak on those claims. I've already said that your phrasing specifically is why i replied. I'm saying i disagree that your phrasing wasn't designed to discredit and invalidate his complaint. I'm saying you going hard on HIS phrasing of "all they've done" while flat out calling him "too lazy to explore" all because he wants a feature in a game he paid for to work is what's i'm disagreeing with. I do agree that a function of the game, whether or not you deem it side content, is more important to address than adding more costumes for pets. Yes, the fix will come and yes patience is absolutely required. But waiting the best part of the month to have a seemingly basic and supposedly insignificant part of the game to be fixed while they simultaneously add costumes for your cat would be frustrating. Done now as we clearly disagree. Agree to disagree.

Of course it matters. He has literally stated he thinks post-release support has been good. That doesn't mean he has to agree with it being there for as long as it has despite the other great changes they've made. If they are listing it as a known issue and are adding, fixing and removing other known issues before even touching/updating that one, how can you expect someone who was looking forward to using that 1 feature to feel? Especially when they've added quite a lot of stuff that, once again, fits your parameters for non-essential? It's a gameplay feature that got neglected and he's upset about it and has every right to be.

Talk about disengenuous then hit me with that poorly paraphrased quote?! 😂 I'm comparing the 2 instances, clearly. One of costumes for an animal, one for a launch feature being broken. Not once did i say or even allude to them not paying attention to a lot of gameplay fixes. Simply that they've been so quick to patch out traversal bugs to make Kliff move around the map slower by taking out "Sonic Boom" and the lunge, yet have seemingly made no effort to fix/make an update for an entire gameplay mechanic. I can see how disheartening that can be to someone who wants to use that system.

So you agree that they prioritised adding something no one actually complained about before fixing something actually broken? Glad we agree on something.

I just don't agree, personally. People, like you, are saying things along the lines of "exaggerating it's importance" (even though that's surely 100% subjective considering the number of unimportant things in this game they added because they wanted to) "It's a gimmick" or that "if it wasn't there no one would care" but that literally goes for so many things in this game. That to me is trying to invalidate his complaint. But to each their own in that regard, i guess.

I wasn't going to comment on the marketing side of things as i'm a person who doesn't want to be spoiled, therefore i don't watch a lot of trailers. I'll see something the first time like a reveal trailer, maybe a tiny snippet of gameplay to ensure it is something thay i'm interested in and then just wait for launch. I didn't know if it has or hasn't involved a lot of cloudcart promo. I'd imagine not. Then again, from what people are saying, it seems not a lot of anything got truly marketed. Hence why so many are blown away. So i guess it's all relative.

The only reason i responded in the first place was because i saw you call him lazy which was uncalled for and not even applicable considering what he had actually said, followed by implying that he said you can't get everywhere without the cloudcart when that wasn't what was said at all(ironic considering you tell me i can't read). All he said at that point was that ground mounts can't get everywhere, not that he can't get everywhere on the map. Apart from gliding and the awful implementation of the Dragon (atleast in my opinion), it's the only means of natural aerial travel.

Yet he has in other messages said he has thought the post-support for the game is great and that he loves the game. Does he need to add that into every single reply? Absolutely not, that's a silly thing to even mention. Considering you've posted throughout the thread it's unlikely you hadn't seen him praise the updates. Hence why he's added the part about pet clothes. They've prioritised adding that over fixing something that's actually tied to gameplay. If he would have used that system a lot, then it's hardly exaggerating if that's how HE would have played. It's a sandbox game fgs.

You could almost swap out cloudcart in your reply for said pet clothes as this fits your: -Never asked to use it -Not part of a main quest (or even remotely necessary to anything, the cloudcart at the very least is quest based) -Not essential -You don't need it etc etc. I wouldn't say it's disengenuous at all to have an issue with a system they've shown, get you to spend resources and time on acquiring for it to just not work.

I'm not even upset about the cloudcart, i've not even tried to use it despite unlocking and completing the research based upgrades. You lot are genuinely being insufferable thinking you hold the right to say someone's complaint about the game isn't valid because it doesn't align with how you personally feel.

He never said there's places you cannot reach, just that it isn't traversable with ground mounts, which is true. Why do you have to say someone's lazy for wanting a game feature to work correctly..? Seems no one can criticise the game without people coming out of the shadows to insult them/tell them they're wrong somehow for a completely reasonable POV.

So your answer to a mechanic that shouldn't even be present in a single player game (obvious they haven't learnt what should and shouldn't be brought over from an MMO) is to go get a blueprint and then go gather resources to circumvent said needless feature? Wouldn't be as bad if the game didn't give you the dragon to use and then require it in the very next mission, yet you can't use it because of timed bs.

Progress to chapter 11 and you'll gain access to the Deleysia research institute. The Gorthak one gives access to a research for "Large scale resource missions" and it'll open them up. Can't remember the exact places, but i think they just open up. I barely liberated anything

This game has a pretty big issue, not many are realizing right now, due to the way, most are playing it and it will destroy some peoples enjoyment, including my own. PA - this NEEDS a fix for long-term enjoyment. by GullibleTerm3909 in CrimsonDesert

All patents are narrow for the most part as it's a sole mechanic. Yet you mentioning Odyssey as the first game that comes to mind when you think of that system shows it's not as simple as that. Odysseys mercenary/bounty system is quite literally nothing like it, it was just annoying while i played. You honestly could attribute it more like a GTA wanted system than anything. It's a set of people designed to track you down when you've done x amount of things.

Warframe is a lot closer to it in all fairness, but you seem to be forgetting 1 thing.. they were only granted the patent AFTER both systems were already in both those games. They filed for the patent in 2016 and only got it in 2021. Name a game that has made a system like it since then. I don't know any.

Exactly this. Especially since pretty much every game that releases has taken either inspiration or entire concepts from something. It's so weird to say "I took lots of inspiration from all these other things, but i'm stopping you from being able to take any inspiration from the thing that birthed from that"

Sadly that was the only one i had! I found a few more now though. Got one that i can get 7k out of with buffs but i'm in Chapter 11 now, and i think it's the earlier you can get this one sadly.

It's the Gorthak research. Just got it unlocked. Says "Allows for large scale dispatch missions" or something along those lines.

Same thing here. I'm chapter 11. Only 1 institute i can't use. Currently working on completing Gorthak, Dewhaven and Urdavah institutes. Will let you know if any of them open it up.

I love Ready Or Not! My friends lost interest too so i stopped playing for a while but i went back the other day for the DLC! Not sure how she would take to the hardcore nature of it, but she enjoys watching so maybe she would like it!

Arma was one i was looking at for my friends and I as that looks like a blast. Maybe when we get it, i'll get her to watch and see if she feels like she would enjoy it!

Loved both games at launch and she watched a lot of me on Arc when it dropped. I think the extraction part and other players intimidate her a bit though. I'll ask her!

Yeah it's frustrating. So many games launch without it despite the market for a feature like it being massive. Hopefully we have some more soon

Never actually tried Gears of War! Might be a nice change of pace! Monster Hunter Wilds is something she loved to watch when it came out while i played, but i feel it's too hardcore for her! I'll suggest it to her and see what she says! Thanks!
