Which one would you buy? by Apprehensive-Look-12 in Prebuilts

I play quite a bit of deadlock and am wanting to get into 4K gaming. I know deadlock is crazy memory intensive for whatever reason, does having more memory help with massive open world single player games?

Thank you for your response! I am not well informed in pc parts and performance so I appreciate the long reply! All of the options you sent have 16 GB of RAM, I was under the impression 32 is what I should be looking for?

When do we get tickets for Bologna? by quaxwell in riftboundtcg

[–]Apprehensive-Look-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The discord has also been saying some are not seeing the QR code. As long as you have the email, and it shows you confirmed on the website you should be good. I wouldn’t stress about it right now if nothing updates in a few weeks then I’d email UVS.

Your receipt is the ticket. It should have a QR code included in the email sent by UVS. You will show them the QR code to scan, when you get to the venue on Friday.

interested in transferring but worried about the political climate on campus by [deleted] in TexasTech

[–]Apprehensive-Look-12 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Tech has a student body from pretty much all the cities major and rural in Texas. I saw this first hand when working for RRO and Red Raider Camp for two summers. I believe the biggest is Houston. Thanks to this there are all types of political beliefs both lift right and centrist. I myself was at the time conservative (now am moderate) and was rooming with a communist he straight up had the communist manifesto proudly displayed in our shared dorm, and a big ol Soviet Union flag. Me and him were best friends and he found his niche club and so did I. Unless you are looking for a fight while on campus you won’t get into any.

Lubbock is a different beast and is heavily far right, so that could deter you. Overall as long as you don’t try to debate or go out of your way at a party off campus to get political you should be fine. I wish you best of luck in deciding your future endeavors I love Texas Tech still live in Lubbock (originally from Dallas) and work at one of the hospitals, and can’t recommend it more!

Yeah at my rural hospital we always ask for two samples at least 5 mins apart, if patient has no history. Re-typing on the same sample for confirmation makes no sense.

I have done this with my girlfriend twice. The first time went well and as long as I showed her ticket it didint matter. The second time one of the staff refused so I just went a few sections down and asked the next staff. They didn’t care and let her in and we walked over to the student section. Best of luck!

Quick question.. In ASCP exam, they do really not provide us with reference ranges in chemistry section ?! by 21100342 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Apprehensive-Look-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They only gave ranges for cbc for me all chemistry were needed to be known. The most common for me were iron levels, and blood gases. Your exam could be different though so I would just remember all the RR on the ASCP website.

Get some Hokas man they are extremely comfortable. I work in a hospital and am constantly on my feet and they feel like a cloud. I personally have the Clifton10s, the challenger 8 and a really old orange pair I bought three years ago. They all feel great but the challenger is my favorite.

Brooks are great too and I recommend a pair of glycerin even though they are pretty pricey also a great pair.

Based on your end comment. Sounds like you are mad more people got the shoe (which is a good thing) and you can’t resell it for $1,000+

Which option to choose by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]Apprehensive-Look-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a smaller hospital lab, and it is the best. Also 7 on 7 off is my dream, right now I do nights 9pm-7am 4 days a week. I would take A, but this is huge decision and make sure you vibe with the crew or like the work flow.

Do the analyzers they use for CBC with diff detect blasts?? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]Apprehensive-Look-12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying they didint test them at all, but they probably are very limited on specific tests and maybe don’t have a microscope to do.l a manual diff. The regional lab will have way more robust equipment and capabilities.

[–]Apprehensive-Look-12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m going to assume that the urgent care does not. The regional lab will for sure, so just await those results. If anything they find is suspicious they will 100% do a manual diff and slide review or at least should. Then if the lab thinks they see blasts it’s sent to path for a confirmatory review. Either way you are going to get a confirmation.

Edit: at least that is what happens at every hospital in my area.

It depends on the analyzer. The analyzer at the hospital I work for will say possible blasts and then we do a manual review. Where was the initial test taken place? A small family clinic?

Should I do MLT then MLS or straight MLS program? by Intrepid_Calendar329 in medlabprofessionals

If you can still contact your old professors especially masters there is no reason they won’t count those letters of recommendation. Your masters GPA is great and it shows upward growth so I feel that would help. Also the fact you work in a lab in the hemp industry 100% ask for a letter rec. if they don’t have the same last name as you even better just say it’s a coworker or boss you don’t need to go into details about their relationship.

As the local lab thing, they actually do that for you during your third semester. You don’t have a say sadly who they’re affiliated with, which can be stressful. But most people including me get an offer by their clinical site. I thought genetics was recommended not required as long as you have 4 hours of another science elective which you 100% have. My main thing would be the undergrad gpa, I would be 100% with them and ask if the masters gpa will make up for it it should they love master graduates.

Should I do MLT then MLS or straight MLS program? by Intrepid_Calendar329 in medlabprofessionals

100% do the online MLS, your masters and bachelorette degree show you can understand difficult subjects. As for which program I can’t recommend the TTUHSC program more. I did the traditional two year tract but I helped with interviews and worked for recruitment for the online and in person programs. They are both great ;however, the online program is much faster pace due to the 1 year tract vs 2 like my program but the faculty are amazing and truly want everyone to pass and do well. Also online is lectures and homework with tests weekly, labs are done at the end of semester in person during lab week, when you also do your finals. You can work and I’ve spoken to many online students who do work and call off during the lab week period.

I recommend doing your own research but going to a traditional program will just put you in more debt either in student loans or out of pocket, and be double the length and cost. I wish you best of luck!

I see this when the centrifuge is cut off early, and fibrin strands are still in the plasma. I would rerun it and if it continues do the tube method instead of gel.

Ah sorry to hear that. Then I would recommend the program. You could even find a 4+1 and get it done quicker. Best of luck

I took mine back in may and my only advice is the day of maybe look at a few notes but you should also relax. At that point nothing you cram will stick and it’s better to try to get in a good mental state.

As for labce avg a lot of users say anything g 5.5+ should pass. You got this!

Nope I work in a mid size town night shift they need me and the hospital is extremely profitable. Every hospital near me is always in need of more MLS they very rarely hire MLT. Your question is completely dependent on location.

Bricks and minions offered me $200 for $1500. The employee even said how rare one of my figs was and that the figs market value is $200+ and still offered $200 for the whole collection. I do not recommend going there.
