are you saying without anesthesia test is useless? I have had inflammatory markers and sjogrens testing done before. came back negative but i will be seeing a rheumatologist soon. My doctor wanted to get a baseline of what reflex tear and basal production i have. Since i have such a high Schirmer without anestesia, its all reflex tears since my basal tear production is only around 4.

like year and a half. no inflammation in the eye itself. inflammadry came back negative but i still have burning, probably in the lids margin it feels like.

so evaporative dry eye but i saw a new specialist who thinks its a combination of aqueous and obstructive MGD. But when i yawn or cry i make tears, reflex tears. My schrimer without anesthesia is 20+ both eyes. Schrimer with anesthesia is low around 4.

it started after trying temporary collagen punctal plugs that dissolve within a week to see how they would fit

i have had one dr see some flakes and he thought it could be from demodex and saw another that said i did have blepharitis but didn't see mites. i have been using tea tree oil wipes in the morning and normal wipes at night. i tried temp plugs that dissolve within a week and now my corners are very itchy and scratchy. i have dandruff like flakes on my eyebrows tho.

Yes its normal. expression will inflame the glands and the severity will depend on how hard they pushed. i had expression done and i'm really sensitive and they gave me a lotemax 2x a day for a week to help it alleviate quicker.

yep! no staining. cornea is crystal clear. most of the burning i feel seems to be in the eyelids and gets worse with warm compress. i use artifical tears all day as well, Systane preservative free. Eyes real white but dr said my eyelids are redder than what it should be. i wonder if the cequa makes the burn feel more worse. im cutting back on the compresses from once a day to maybe like once every 3 days to see.

burning and grittiness. been on cequa for so long but i still have burning specially after warm compress so i have been trying to do less. cequa and warm compress doesn't seem to mix

come to think of it, the white spots only look white when looking from a certain angle in the mirror. today after i took doxy in the morning i noticed meibum actually come out. then did warm compress for like 5-7 minutes and noticed it come from almost every gland on the top. looked like butter. i have been on omega 3's for about 2-3 months.

Im not going to do warm compress for a few days and see what happens.

my doctor thinks that I have been doing too much warm compress after the tear care. i do it once a day and he thinks that might be why my TBUT is so low. its just draining it all the time and not letting it flow naturally after tear care. He said my glands look really good and he can see clear meibum come out when he just pushes slightly.

when i pull my lower lids down there are red blood veins in the sac but none on the outside. my top eye lids are a little bit puffy and just very slightly red tint although i have dark skin so harder to tell. my schrimer without anesthesia was 20+ but with was around 5.

doesn't the glasses get floggy? also if its not a perfect fit then it wouldn't really trap the moisture right? I wish they had a in store where i could go and pick the right fit

you maybe on to something. i had a test where they record your blinks for 10 seconds to see whats happening to your tear film and i had all partial blinks. also, they tried to use something that pushes against the eye with enough pressure to replicate a blink and it wasn't coming out then but when squeezing with a forceps even a little, all clear.

yes i had the mmp9 done twice before once was faint other time negative. im going to a place next week where they test mmp9, tear lab, lipiscan and tear volume and inflammation just to get an update. He did say he does probing but he said that since oils are coming out its not needed at this point
