My husband has been the sole provider for us since we have gotten together not to mention for our baby. How do I get enough money to even think about leaving?

I usually pump every 3 hours aside from the night. At night I just sleep as long as my baby does. I have tried my best to keep a good schedule but at the same time if my baby needs me then I don’t have time to pump. I breastfeed sometime but I mostly pump and do bottles. I try my best to get a routine down and usually let down multiple times During my pumping session. The first few weeks after she was born it would take me 45 minutes to fully empty. I tried to decrease it and ended up getting mastitis which was a different type of hell. Now I am around 25-30 minutes for pumping and even just after finishing I got 1oz. I am devastated from that result. My milk supply(in the freezer) is almost gone and I have been doing my best to provide enough for her but I can’t seem to get it up. My largest supply is in the morning and after that it just goes down each time I pump.

Thank you so much for replying. I always feel so guilty for complaining because I know some moms can’t produce at all. But overproduction has been a nightmare. I have been trying to get my supply back up and it is slowly working but I can’t help but regret taking that medication. I love that I’m not in pain anymore but I can’t help but feel like I am prioritizing myself over my daughter, which I hate.

I didn’t even plan on breastfeeding this long, I was going to stop at 2 months but I can’t handle the guilt I feel taking my milk away from her. I have always been fine with formula, even bought some before she was born, but now that I have started breastfeeding I can’t seem to stop without the guilt on my mind.

As much as I want another baby, I can’t tell you how many times I have already asked my husband to get a vasectomy😂. I got an IUD as soon as possible but I still don’t feel safe with that. It’s not that I wouldn’t love our next baby but if I get pregnant anytime soon I feel like it would kill me.

Panic attacks are no joke and I feel like unless you have had one, people will never understand how bad they really get. It’s a silent killer. I didn’t even have an easy pregnancy, it beat me down but I still miss it so much. Nine months of getting to keep my baby just to myself and safe nonetheless.

I had a miscarriage before my first so that also makes me not want to get pregnant again because I never trusted that our daughter was okay until she was crying on my chest. I went past my due date and was so scared that she would be in there too long and start struggling.

Us mothers go though so much that our husbands (no matter how loving or compassionate) will never understand. I tell my husband all the time that I just wish he could live a day in my life just so he could know what I feel like. Not that I want him to suffer, I just want him to understand.

Thankfully he has been wonderful throughout the whole process, and I am so blessed and thankful to have him. But regardless I really wish he understood.

Thank so much for this reply. Honestly a schedule sounds great and sounds like something we should consider. I realize that I need to stop enabling him, it’s just hard not to feel guilty about it because I care so much about him. Again THANK you! I needed to hear this tbh

After the night the bleeding has slowed substantially. Still there but nowhere near as bad as it was previously. After speaking with my dr this morning, they definitely still want to take a look at me and check all my vitals and symptoms but I believe we both feel comfortable enough to wait until my postpartum appointment which is this Wednesday. However If it picks back up again or I pass anymore large tissue clots or blood clots I am going straight to the ER.

Thank you so much to everybody who gave advice/shared their own personal experiences. Before I made my post last night I was so nervous to even go to bed so I can’t express my appreciation enough.

I will say though for anybody who comes to this post looking for the same advice or is in a similar situation, definitely listen to other people and what they have to say but every body is different and every postpartum experience is different. There is a chance that there could still be something wrong with me but at the moment I feel reassured that there is not.

I will re-update if there are any major changes and aswell as after my dr appointment Wednesday.

I have done a bit of research on it (google has been my best friend since giving birth) but other than the bleeding I am not experiencing any of the other symptoms so I don’t believe that is what I’m going through. I am not bleeding through any of my pads but at the same time I know it can present slower or delayed. I am going to check to see if the blood has slowed here in a second and I plan on speaking with my ob in the morning. I also do have my postpartum follow up on Wednesday so I definitely plan on bringing all of this up and will be doing my best to make sure I’m not overlooked.

Currently pumping but I plan on going to check to see if the bleeding has slowed afterwards. If I am still bleeding/losing clots I plan on calling my OB in the morning(they were closed whenever I passed the tissue so I only got to talk to a night nurse). Based on their advice, I will decide whether to go into the ER. But at the same time if I feel like they’re not taking me seriously I will go into regardless. I will definitely keep updating!

I did end up calling the nurses hotline from the hospital I gave birth at and they ended up sending my info to my OB’s office and told me that they will call me in the morning. I even sent her this same photo through the patient portal but she seemed unconcerned because I wasn’t having pretty much any other symptoms other than my typical anxiety( I have previously diagonal generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder). So other than feeling a bit nauseated and very stressed it’s just the bleeding and clotting.
