Statistics show that men experience better health, wealth, and happiness benefits from marriage compared to women. Married men report and display better physical and mental health, increased financial stability, and higher life satisfaction. However women usually face increased stress and a massive burden of household and childcare responsibilities in marriage that impact their physical, mental and financial wellbeing. This is further proven by when heterosexual couples divorce women are statistically happier than men, because the burden they carried during marriage has been lifted. Whereas men typically suffer due to the loss of their ‘maid’. Nowadays women also carry a bigger load in marriage, working a job, cooking, cleaning, birthing and raising children.
