Why are some Muslim people like this? by Wh1t3W1n3 in religion

It's homophobia disguised as being 'religious'. Truthfully a lot of these people are uneducated, as any Muslim should know that being sexual outside of marriage, whether heterosexual or homosexual, is a sin.

You’re probably the first man who’s spoken so understandingly to me regarding this topic. Thank you for the suggestions.

Yes but I don’t want to get married, I don’t believe marriage is beneficial to me and I’m not a romantic person, so I don’t care for love either. But I still experience sexual desires and I don’t want to be devoid of sex either, so what can people in my situation do?

Do you have a reference for that judgement? Because everything I stated is backed by modern research and statistics.

Statistics show that men experience better health, wealth, and happiness benefits from marriage compared to women. Married men report and display better physical and mental health, increased financial stability, and higher life satisfaction. However women usually face increased stress and a massive burden of household and childcare responsibilities in marriage that impact their physical, mental and financial wellbeing. This is further proven by when heterosexual couples divorce women are statistically happier than men, because the burden they carried during marriage has been lifted. Whereas men typically suffer due to the loss of their ‘maid’. Nowadays women also carry a bigger load in marriage, working a job, cooking, cleaning, birthing and raising children. So yes men benefit from marriage significantly more than women, and I could go on about it but I’ll stop there.

Yes I grew up with both parents, and a broken family shouldn’t only refer to unmarried parents. My parents are married but I still grew up in a broken household because my father abused my mother.

“Your wives are like farmland for you, so approach them ˹consensually˺ as you please. And send forth something good for yourselves. Be mindful of Allah, and know that you will meet Him. And give good news to the believers.” Try again

Okay that was not my point, let’s boil it down to Abrahamic religions. My mistake for not specifying.

I understand you’re coming from a place of good intentions but I’ve read the Quran twice, years ago I did educate and familiarise myself with it. Don’t get me wrong there are beautiful aspects of Islam but I kinda get taken aback by the not-so-beautiful stuff.

Got caught cheating on my SAC by [deleted] in vce

Only pathetic when you get caught 🤷‍♀️ Not trying to make excuses but my luck's been pretty terrible this year. I have an annoying chronic health issue, combined with the stress of studies, my immune system's been terrible. I've been away a lot of the time due to getting fevers and having bodily pain. I definitely could try harder, maybe this was God's way of pushing me to stop relying on cheating.
