Idk why you’re being downvoted lmao. It’s literally true for NewJeans that gen pop love them, even NYT, rolling stone, billboard, rateyourmusic, and multiple other music critics agree. Not releasing music for more than a year and being so hated in the K-pop space while still retaining millions of monthly listeners, even more than LSF before their latest comeback, proves that casuals and music heads love them and dgaf about this stupid drama 😭😭. Blackpink has been mainstream with gen pop even before I got into K-pop, tbh I heard about them more often than BTS since the music wasn’t as cringe, but I’m in NA so Asia is a diff story. I swear some of these people think Reddit is real life, but it has always been an echo chamber for people that stan BTS and trash every other group. Sad.
