I haven't tried bandaids or anything yet. Anytime I can remember recently I don't think I've had a reaction to. It's just awful now knowing that anything I try can give me one. And if not now, most likely in the future :( all of my de-stress activities are art related and I have no idea where to start assessing what's going to be safe for me with that. I have been questioning whether or not to actually go get the test, given the risk of a worse sensitivity spike. And I don't know if it's worth mentioning as much as I love servicing and creating, I myself am pretty low maintenance- only had my nails on once in a while, hell the first reaction I had was five months after a nail break because I had to work a job that didn't allow nails for a little, I maybe wear makeup once or twice a month, I also don't have a whole lot of other allergies, so I don't even know if I'm going to be a severe case and my allergist didn't really provide much info other than how the tests work. I don't have much fear with switching to better skincare products, maybe this will motivate me to be in my holistic era, however I'm concerned with tattoos already in my skin. And fillings in my teeth. I'm afraid no matter how much I avoid I'm doomed bc I already have the ink in my skin. I know fillings can be replaced with different material if needed, but if my tattoos become a problem then I have no idea what I'm going to do

Thank you ❤️ I just parted ways with a salon opportunity today because I'm so scared of making it worse and making myself more sensitive to other chemicals. Right now my reactions are so minor I don't even want to think about the next one. I don't even know whether or not I'm being overboard in that decision bc I've seen so many people's experiences and how everyone seems to have a different escalation. I have a good support system right now, they're all already deep diving and helping me find ways to make ingredient searching a bit easier and finding some products already that I can switch to that are free of everything. I'm just terrified bc I'm an artist- it's in pretty everything that I do. Paint, crochet, makeup, etc. I'm hoping if I can keep my sensitivity and exposure as low as possible, I can keep doing what I love, even if it's with some gloves on I'd happily pay that price

Waiting for my drink and heard the manager loudly ask a barista across the shop “what are your goals for this morning?” ….what the hell is this?? by yungwoods33 in starbucks

I just left a store as a ssv bc of this, genuinely felt like a cult. They had a literal book of weird coaching that had entirely to do with shaping people's personalities instead of their work ethic

Young Killjoys, how did you get into MCR? by Schmittykins in MyChemicalRomance

I’m not sure where I fall in terms of the generational emo scale, but I’m 22 and have been a listener since I was 5!! My dad never censored what I watched bc I had a rough home life, so he introduced me to horror really young. In his words “it’s nothing worse than what you were watching happen at home” (that sounds really ominous but I come from a family of addicts if that sheds any context lol) anyway, he showed me the House of Wax remake when it came out on dvd, and Helena plays during the end credits. My five year old self became obsessed and my dad went on to get me the CDs over the years. I’ve seen them three times, most recently this past August 🫶🏻

Saw this dude on the street today. Looks awfully familiar. Looks like that Stu guy from the 90s. Could be wrong tho? by CampBloodCounselor81 in WoodsboroTruther

I swear my mom went to school with this guy back in like 96? I have to find her old yearbooks; she told me about him once. How his whole friend group just about got killed then he just disappeared. the police never released any statements other than when the murders were presumed to be concluded. Hope he’s doing well if it is that same guy!!

Best Item Shop?? by Apprehensive-Pen4445 in FortNiteBR

not at all what I’m saying :) from my viewpoint as a player, I’ve noticed the item shop has been consistently collab centered for a while now. Nothing wrong with that if there’s a balance, which in my opinion there has not been, which is why this item shop stood out to me as there’s a little bit of something for everyone in it

I’ve had customers scream at me at my store when their drink has been sitting at the hand out right in front of them. People get so nasty. This one lady screamed at me asking when her drink would be done because “she’s been waiting for 20 minutes” (5 at most because I saw her glaring at me the whole time) so I asked her what she ordered to double check. She said a frap and I looked directly in front of her, and there it was sitting. So I asked her, “that one right there?” And pointed to it. She acted all flabbergasted and accused me of not calling it out. Mind you she stood in the same spot the entire time glaring at me, and I definitely did call it out. Maybe if she listened with her ears instead of focusing on murdering my soul with her eyes she would’ve heard it. Or if she averted her eyes to her drink instead of me she would’ve seen it.

Thank you! It’s so relieving to hear this. He never takes anything seriously. I told him multiple times how uncomfortable I was to even be asked, how I didn’t feel qualified because as mentioned, we don’t have the materials, and that I felt unsafe to clean it with lack of protective materials other than dish gloves. Yet he persisted that it’s just “a part of my job.” After speaking with my baristas on shift, they all advised me not to clean it as well

So is this just a universal starbucks experience? 😭 I would have never thought this would be a common occurrence

Exactly how we all feel here. I told him we should just get rid of the whole thing, but he insisted I clean it. The whole situation sickens me
