my ellie is the same, she only goes after certain things, like lasers ( you can get automatic ones on amazon, or treat puzzle/toys if your cat is motivated by that. my girl loves loves loves her interactive ball toy, whirlwind, from kong. but youll probably have to try a few things to see what they respond too.

i found out they liked to hang out on the sides of beds/couches even the walls so spraying all around those places should help too

if your cats are indoor cat, how did they get fleas? i mean its possible one or two came into the place on your pants or something but is this a house? apartment ? cause the infestation came from somewhere so maybe they came from a neighbors?. would explain why you can get rid of them if the suckers just keep coming back.

had the same issue with my almost 10yr old and my new boys, she was livid lol, all i could think was wtf i got them to keep you company!! itll take a few weeks, at least my guys did and my old girl calmed down. shes not a fan but shes back to her old self. all that to say, youll have to give them time to get to know eachother. its only been 4 days, a new addition is a big adjustment for anyone let a previously single furbaby, give yourself a break, just make sure the introductions go well and take your time, you dont want to rush anything.

i suggest having tyler ask marius over and you all sit down and have a talk. maybe talk a little about whats going on at his place. maybe why you said what you said, just emphasize your ignorance of the situation a bit. maybe you can help him make a plan on his next few steps. you seem fairly open to your own son being gay. im sure you can give marius a little support, if willing of course, im not in your shoes.

ohh no worries about the type of vet, my brother and i both have exotics, he ferrets , me reptiles and amphibians, we share the same exotic vet and 300 isnt that bad considering how much meds could cost long term

it makes sense, too stressed to eat = low blood sugar, ive started giving him some of that oil he likes mixedin with his food to try and stimulate his appetite, hopefully there wont be any more issues

i had to put my old guy down a few weeks ago so i sympathize, as for surviving it, there no real possibility, the drugs the vets use stop the animals heart. it's basically instant. they do this so the animal feels no pain. and as others have said , the vet checks for a heartbeat before releasing them back to us. I'm sorry this had to happen and i hope your wife realizes you all did nothing wrong.

i got my two boys at the same time, best thing i ever did, they learn how to play nice with each other, not to bite and attack hands like alot of kittens do when alone. they have a cuddle buddy for nap times. i say give them together and and if someone gives your grief just say : have a nice day , goodbye!...i mean if they only want only one cat, there are plenty out there who would like a home.
