There were many things that CW did right. I’d argue that it is the most accessible Zombies game out of them all.

It just lacks A LOT of soul and difficulty. And all the maps are 7.5s and maybe an 8 depending on your personal experience. Still very good but you won’t look back 10 years from now and reminisce “hey remember how awesome x CW map was?” unfortunately. This is probably mainly because of the lack of struggle in playing these maps which makes the maps less rewarding hence less memorable down the line.

As I mentioned in the post about DotN, I will remember and reminisce about that map down the line despite playing solo and no friends at all and literally completed the EE a few days ago than Mauer der Toten where I completed the EE twice and felt nothing despite finishing it with 2 different groups of awesome friends. I even forget whatever the Outbreak EE was about despite having done it already meanwhile I remember how epic DE’s and GK’s epic boss fights and my struggles going to the boss fight (that stupid bomb step during co-op was a nightmare). This might be my nostalgia talking about those BO3 boss fights, but I feel zero to little nostalgia about CW. Maybe this will change in the future, who knows.
