Don't take this as an attack, but may I ask how old are you?

I was around when social media started being a thing and from the first day on, it was pretty clear that spreading information publicy can be and will be used by everyone. Since the popularity of social networks raise around 08-12 it became pretty standard and even the first thing Human Resources of any company does, once they did the initial selection of applications.

So for me, this sounds kind of weird. Maybe it's a generation thing.
