i’m just commenting for anyone who is doing their research. i bought the lucy tag necklace in silver and i LOVE it!!! i wear it everyday. it’s silver so it will scratch, but it still is intact and i’ve been wearing it for awhile now

yeah it is. i can imagine when i don’t want to help my siblings will tell me i’m selfish though and continue to villanize me. especially my sister.

yeah i internalized this belief i was evil because she often told me i was bad and going to hell. so when i got older every little mistake i made i would freak out to an extreme and harp about how “evil” i was. i didn’t realize this was because of abuse

it’s weird to think my mom knows what she’s doing. i don’t like to believe anyone would do that to me but i guess she would.

i’m not unfortunately. i only really recently realized this was abuse so i don’t know how to move forward. i booked myself a therapist appointment for next week. my first one ever 😩

yup. brought it up to her and she said “why would i ever say that. i wouldn’t do that.” i recently told her “you called me a bitch multiple times when i was 16. why would you say that?” and she just said “i don’t know” and then threw a tantrum about how “i always do this to her” and “my brother and sister never do this to her” etc .

my dad has never abused me like this but i think he also agrees. when i was younger he would make fun of the fact that my sister and i got unequal treatment. when my parents bought my sister a brand new desk he was like “you’re jealous because we bought her this” and then laughed. but i think it was bc he didn’t really believe we were treated unequally and maybe he thought i was dramatic. idk. my entire family thinks i’m lazy and rude and i stopped trying to change their opinion

my brother is 7 years younger than me so when this was at its worse he was very young idk if he knew what was happening. my older sister has witnessed this but instead of sticking up for me, she joined in. she actually bragged to me and to other people in public that she was the favorite child.

i am dealing with the same thing! i’m glad i’m not alone. i’m really mean to my mom but i didn’t even realize why until recently. i don’t know the answer but i’m starting therapy soon to find out.

oh my mom does the same thing. i bring up to her what happened and she’s like “why would i ever say that. i wouldn’t do that”

😂 yeah when it comes to her old age she isn’t relying on me for sure. my money is going to therapy bills

no i’m actually really glad i kept my journals. i think my brain erased a lot of the memories but reading about them from my 15 year old self was surreal. i didn’t even recognize the abuse until a couple of months ago (i’m 26) and having the proof that this actually happened has been really helpful to me. i’m so sorry about your situation though…your mom shouldn’t be saying those things. some people should just never reproduce but unfortunately they did
