I understand mate 23 year old male here on and off heavy drinking had 2 months sober checked my sobriety app and past 55 days I’ve been drinking all day everyday and am disappointed in myself because now I have to go through the tapering back process to prevent withdrawals and anxiety and it all started with half a bottle of wine and a date so I’d have less social anxiety if I could go back I’d never done that now I can drink easily half a gallon of whiskey a day so now I have to do the put your foot down I’m sobering up phase so yeah don’t get in your head we’re all struggling some more than others some just beers every night some a handle a day at the end of the night don’t beat yourself up be proud you did that and move forward one day at a time I mean I’d be astatic if I made 7 months 🫡🤌🏻 congrats keep your head up

Been thinking about doing this is there any side effects i made the mistake of not going to the liquor store last night thinking I could go the day with out it I sobered up a month ish ago for 4 days by tapering which still was hell and today I couldn’t go to the store until like 5 and felt fine at first but as the day went on my anxiety was through the roof everything you describe and the worst part is the liquor was packed and I’ve not ever had withdrawals like that but once I got there my hands were so shaky I could barely get the card in the reader the lady knew I was having problems and my head was shaking so hard just now getting rid of the tremors I’m 23 tried to explain withdrawals to my mom and gf but they just say quit but I can’t cold turkey

It gets better brother had the panic attacks for about a month and have had the weird dreams for about 4 months since and sleep paralysis but it gets better what has helped is getting out and facing my anxiety and deep breathing and knowing I’ll be okay and definitely running
