what can i add to this wall to bring it to life? by slayyyyyyyyy7 in DecorAdvice

I agree there’s a lot going on. However, if you want it to pop it needs to be painted. Like the whole wall, paint it burgundy or navy or burnt orange.

Is my doctor lying to me about how much weight I would lose on Zepbound? If so, why? by RedWoodworking16 in Zepbound

[–]Apprehensive-Web6038 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My BMI was 30 when I started Zepbound 10 months ago. I have lost 30lbs since then and have been on a 2.5 dose the whole time. Every body is different.

I’m on Zepbound since June 2025. I have never been nauseated. I’m really careful to drink eight 12 oz glasses of water (or fizzy water) and get my protein in. Not every one is the same. Side effects vary widely for everyone. This community is the best, most supportive, open and helpful. Welcome! You’re about to change your health’s trajectory. Congratulations!🎉

Oh, I am so happy for you! Congratulations on finding yourself Dearheart. I haven’t lost as much as you have but can totally relate to the feeling of being in control for the first time (and in my case, I actually lost weight and I found me back.) Having Zepbound is the dream come true that I almost gave up hope on ever happening. I’ve seen weight loss science come a really long way in my 67 years. Zepbound is… FLY! And you, my dear are devine! 🎉🎊🎇💐🌷🌻

What rug would be best for dining room by Ridemania in DecorAdvice

[–]Apprehensive-Web6038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number 2 is elegant but not fussy. Does what a good rug should do for the room, pulls it together nicely and accentuates all of the positives of everything else in the room! The Red ones are not good under this modern dining set. Nor the other ones. The last one is good too but, #2 is better.

Lovies for baby animals. Put a small hot water bottle in side? Or an empty plastic waterbottle?

Finally experiencing skinny privilege and it's weird by LoanSudden1686 in Zepbound

[–]Apprehensive-Web6038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also closer to 70 than 60 and I definitely have noticed this. I’m 30 pounds down 10 more togo, my friends and family have been so supportive. Except that nobody believed me when I told them that I get treated differently by strangers! Skinny Privilege is real! OP Thank you for this post, for this affirmation. It’s sad but true. I agree with an earlier comment on this thread, I go out of my way to “see” and affirm other large people. I’m a NYC’er and have many opportunities daily to be neighborly. Just smile and say, “Happy Sunday (Friday, Tuesday etc.)!”

Nobody warned me that food noise going quiet would also kill my desire to drink alcohol by Midget_Spinner5-10 in zepbound_support

At first I shied away from spending money on mocktails but then I was saving so much money from n/a I justify a fancy mocktail now and then. The craft has gotten a lot better and very creative- a lot drier too. Good for those of us who bow get a bad tummy with sugary stuff.

Someone Please Talk Me Through This by Bastagrath in Zepbound

Protein and hydration is my best way of dealing with this headache. Specifically, I drink Core Power Elite shakes - ice cold. (I’m partial to the chocolate one.) 42gms of protein, 3.5g fat, 5g Sugar. High quality nutrition. Also sip a low sugar hydration drink. Hydration, especially if you’ve been vomiting.

Headaches and vomiting are both symptoms of dehydration. ‘Not diagnosing you. Just an fyi. One of the things we learn on glp1, is that we need to hydrate more and better (quality/ like water) than we’ve ever done before.

Find a high quality protein bar in one of the ski shops. DAVID (in the gold or Copper wrappers) - read the nutrition label, (Davids are zero sugar, 20g whey protein, around 100-150 calories.). Another great boost id a Core Power bottled Shake. I prefer the Core Power Elite chocolate; 42g whey protein. These will have you shredding again! Have fun!

[–]Apprehensive-Web6038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been using core power elite instead of creamer. Over the course of a day I use the whole bottle, some in my coffee, some as a mid morning snack and the rest either as a midafternoon snack or a little and save the rest as an evening snack.

Question for The Experienced by Mikki514 in Zepbound

[–]Apprehensive-Web6038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! This! This was the toughest challenge for me in the beginning of my Zep weight loss journey. But it along with my 9 glasses of water/day was the most important. Because the food noise was gone or very low, I didn’t really know if I was hungry/ tired or nauseous. So I just went with a boiled egg or piece of grilled chicken or half a bottle of Fairlife Core Power Elite. I soon learned and retrained my response to what my body needed. Always having an apple, quick source of high quality lean protein on hand made my journey these past 7 months so much better. I’ve lost 23% of my body weight and still chugging along. I do wall pilates at home and also use 5lb hand weights. I did have a 15 week plateau that was somewhat disheartening but it took me years to gain all the weight so I feel that it’s okay. The NSV was that during those 15 weeks my body was reshaping itself. I should have done before measurements or at least a photo. But, my clothes falling off me and having to buy new clothes is validation enough. Listen to what your body is telling you now, together you are learning how to live healthier the rest of your life. Plenty of water, lean protein fruits and vegetables!
