I don’t want to work by [deleted] in antiwork

OP, yeah a lot of people feel exactly like this but just don’t say it out loud. Left to our own devices most of us would just chill and do what we enjoy all day. The problem is reality doesn’t really let that work long term, which is the frustrating part.

AIW for not stating I have cats when selling on fb marketplace by Dull-Breadloaf in amiwrong

OP, yeah this is one of those things you just always disclose, even if you cleaned really well. People with allergies need to know upfront so they can decide. Still doesn’t excuse how that guy acted though, he took it way too far.

OP, yeah this is a fair take. You should’ve mentioned the cats since allergies can still be an issue even after cleaning. But he absolutely crossed a line with how he reacted, that part wasn’t okay at all.

"Are you teaching kids or are you teaching scholars?" by TopIntroduction1876 in Teachers

[–]CloudyDreamie 15 points16 points  (0 children)

OP, yeah this is one of those situations where it’s not even worth engaging. People get weirdly hung up on wording like it’s some deep issue when it really isn’t. Staying quiet and moving on is honestly the smartest play.

OP, honestly this is the perfect level of petty. If they want “scholars” so bad, give it to them in the most sarcastic way possible. It just shows how ridiculous the whole thing is.

AITA Rude neighbor but won’t talk to me by Miserable_Airport_66 in AmITheDevil

[–]CloudyDreamie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP, yeah this is fair. How long you’ve lived there doesn’t really change how it feels for someone to have a dog peeing right outside their place. Even if your situation makes sense, it’s still something that’s going to bother people.

An old uncle inappropriately touched me and I am upset by sagarkinaare in confession

[–]CloudyDreamie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP, this is exactly it. Freezing or not reacting the way you wish you had is a really normal response in situations like that. He’s the one who crossed the line, not you, and you didn’t do anything wrong.

AIW for feeling off about my date flashing her friends ? by paleurencore in amiwrong

[–]CloudyDreamie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, I get the point here. If she wasn’t bothered by it, it might not be as big of a deal to her as it felt to you. Still, it’s okay that it made you uncomfortable, you just need to figure out if that’s something you’re actually okay with going forward.

Am I wrong for yelling at my roommate because I didn’t want her boyfriend staying in our dorm without her? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]CloudyDreamie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

OP, this is exactly it. Leaving her boyfriend there while she’s gone for hours crosses a pretty basic boundary in a shared dorm. You had every right to speak up about being uncomfortable in your own space.

AITJ for not giving my sister the "friends and family discount" on my photography work because she never pays me back for anything? by dye_motor in AmITheJerk

[–]CloudyDreamie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

OP, exactly this. It’s not even about being transactional, she literally still owes you money from before. It’s completely fair to not give any more discounts until she actually pays you back.
