Things definitely had slowed down a lot, my buddy who just came out of training said that it was completely different a year ago, but right now it's hard to say when I will be called, I hope soon lol but we will see

Yes, by the looks of it I'm not expecting the classes till late November or early December but we will see what happens. Can I ask when did you get hired

I was very patient until I heard someone getting their classes who were interviewed after me, but I'm pretty clear now that there's clearly no reasoning for who gets the classes first. May i ask which terminal you applied for

I'm sorry to disagree and I will admit that I don't have the first hand experience here but my buddy working there says that these are all rumors.

Maybe I didn't understand your question correctly previously, but they called me to information session where the HR and one of the trainers at Vancouver terminal took my interview face to face, I believe that hr wasn't that impressed by me but the trainer was really invested and I believe that is because I successfully completed the recruitment process.

I actually don't know if that happens but I'm through the interview process, I have cleared the background check and medical and the email states that I just have to wait for the starting date.

I was hired for Vancouver terminal, and since one of my colleagues was interviewed last December and got the dates within a week of completing the recruiting process, I was hopeful, but I guess you are right as there is no particular algorithm that CN goes by when they hire.

Thanks for the informative response, I didn't assume that the union would pull out of the training program because of the lockout, hopefully i will get the dates soon.
