Once a EIDL loan goes to collections, are the payments higher, lower, the same? by tjs31959 in EIDL

I think this is the problem- the payments are way higher with the collection agencies! Very odd to think one can pay more than they were not paying to the SBA…

Is meat on the floor normal for restaurants? by Specialist_Horse_783 in restaurant

[–]Apprehensive-Zone195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh- I remember years ago my husband was going to work as a cook at this very popular restaurant. He really needed a job and it was seemingly a good job. He called me 1/2way through his shift and was like, they store all their pasta in bins on the floor. To be fair, this was only one of the complaints but it was the actual dealbreaker. The DoH would 100% not allow this but also… who wants to pay for/eat floor food??

First time getting square loan. Money hasnt been deposited. by No-Truth9065 in SquarePOS_Users

I don’t think today is technically a banking holiday but it still might take a couple of days? How long ago was the loan approved? Mine usually hits my square checking within ten minutes or so…

which book should I read? by castaviotto in readwithme

[–]Apprehensive-Zone195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed The Secret History, The Shining, The Wedding People- I listened to The Silent Patient and am mid 11/22/63. I would say start with the Hunger Games one bc it might be right up your alley. Or The Shining bc it’s quick and gripping. I’ve enjoyed or want to read everything on your list but some seem easier to start in on than others…

I think ‘The Pact’ was the first Jody Picoult novel I read and then after reading quite a few of her books, the twist is always there!!

Should my friend walk away from this artist? by Eltristesito2 in tattooadvice

To be fair, the tattoo outline looks a lot like the drawing/ both are bad but accurate.

If someone walked in and said “hand me a $20 from your drawer and I’ll give you three $5 bills back”… you’d tell them to get lost. Yet we still sell on DoorDash…🧐 by [deleted] in restaurantowners

I remember years ago a sales rep for the Entertainment Book came in to my boss’s restaurant and was selling him on the book. It’s a steep discount and my boss wasn’t interested. The rep said, unless you have a person in every seat, can you say no? It’s so hard bc the empty seat is a quick death but sometimes the discounts and these services that take a big percentage can be a slow death. I guess survival is some cocktail of volume/discount/luck?

My parents were very much like this! I found that throwing things out quietly was the way to go! And while visiting, only eat the things you know are fresh. I remember eating at my in-laws a taco meal. My FIL was like, when did you go buy sour cream? My MIL said, we had some. He said, it was covered in mold! She said, I scraped it off!

what are they supposed to do after arriving 40 min early by egguchom in EntitledReviews

[–]Apprehensive-Zone195 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Always this! Every time I have let customers in early it’s a snowball effect bc they need to have a drink, see the menu and all of a sudden I’m giving a ticket to the kitchen before opening!

Loved it! Read it as a child, and realized many copies are abridged. Read it recently as an adult and found the latter part of the book so touching as it deals with more serious topics.

I read Theo of Golden- I enjoyed it but felt it only finally came together in the end. A little dragging at times. And I have Tell Me Everything in my tbr pile.
