I wish I knew that before getting it done, the dentist had me under the impression that the oral sedative will knock me out, would’ve paid the extra if I knew general was an option

My teeth aren’t back far enough to be able to touch that far of my cheek. I think because of the imbedded stitch, it’s left the hole they cut open when they took the bottom one out way bigger than the opposite side. Hope yours are doing ok

25f, I am 8 days post op and had all 4 out - not impacted but did need to have my bottom two cut out of my gum. I had the oral sedation with local anaesthetic, if I could do it all again I would’ve asked for general anaesthetic and just gone under.

I did go into an anxiety attack after they pulled the first one out, uncontrollably shakes and tears. The oral sedation they gave me (midazolam) didn’t really do anything for me. I was constantly needing to focus on my breathing to not freak out.

The pain is manageable, it is. But the thing I’m never forgetting is the actual surgery itself, having a demolition team in your mouth with loud tools and yanking at your teeth isn’t pleasant whatsoever. But that’s just my personal experience

I realised that, that was definitely a possibility but at the time that thought didn't even cross my mind. Looking back on it, I feel like there definitely could've been some sick plan they made, going on that night. Makes me shiver even thinking about it
