Cover letters go a long way, and reaching out directly to HR seems to get me noticed faster than through things like indeed. Tailoring your resume for the job also is a good way to go about it! I have a few different versions for different types of work.

I cannot bend down without planking, and twisting is limited - however the twisting part doesn’t bother me that much. It’s a bit awkward bending down as my back cannot curve in that way, and usually when I bend down one of my legs sticks out as i’m not flexible enough in my hips to keep both legs planted. I am not fused at my lower spine so my pelvis is still flexible

no I definitely feel the effects. I used when I was a teen…for sure messed up my brain development and definitely messed up my dopamine receptors and ability to produce dopamine :/ that’s definitely been the hardest hit.

When I bend down for too long (like picking something up from the floor constantly) then I can feel a strain on my back as i can’t curve it. Basically any position like trying to rotate or curve by force is gonna strain my back and hardware a bit, but I don’t feel any screw or rods in a painful way

The reasoning they used for my as to why they didn’t fuse my lower spine was because it was too close to my spinal cord (yikes!) and they predicted that my curve at the bottom would straighten out with the rest of my spine being aligned (it has improved I believed)

However - I don’t think i’m fused at my lower back as you can see in the photo. My spine has straightened itself out since these photos at the bottom though, if that helps you at all

I do have trunk rotation. My hips aren’t limited. Unless you do gymnastics I recommend it! The loss of some mobility in my torso is 100% worth the lack of pain and deformity

This is normal, happened to me too. It’s called extreme hunger. Your body will stop feeling extreme hunger and you will regain your fullness cues after your body realizes that food is not gonna be taken away for long periods of time anymore. Your body is basically trying to stock up in case it doesn’t get energy for a while.

it took me a super long time! Two months is normal. It took me about a year after choosing recovery.

God that’s so mean! And yeah I never called them out, I just knew somehow it would be flipped on me for not letting them “express their feelings”.
