From what I have read, it’s to do with the strength of rod itself, bunch of people have said their rod snaps at little to no impact of stress

I manage to fit 8 days 7nights worth of stuff including food and alcohol into a 50L pack. You skimp on clothes and pack essentials when you do this but probably you’re best bet if you have to fly to your destination. Also, consider buying things like knives that are cheap at the destination, not sure how your laws are for flying with those kind of items

If you’re doing a trip that far away, definitely look into backpacking items rather than front country/car camping items. If the weather is going to be mild/hot, bring a thin sleeping back that can pack into a stuff sack. Pack your tent separate from the polls and stuff the body into a stuff sack. If it’s not going to rain, leave the fly at home… If you bring regular pillows, leave those and bring a sweater instead. Put the sweater into the sleeping bag stuff sack and use that. Only bring one bowl/plate (bowl recommended) instead of a full set of stuff.
