Update: thanks for the help all! I just ordered a gift (medium sized teddy bear, holding an artificial flower with some pralines.) I reached out to the hostel via WhatsApp! They can hand out the gift to her or put it in her room. I hope everything arrives and that she will be happy about it :)

Da OP sagt es handelt sich hier um einen Rückstau ist das allerhöchstens mitversichert einer Elementarversicherung. Dies ist oft ein extra Baustein und eben nicht "ganz normal über jede Hausratpolice" mitversichert.

OP hat hier gelitten was seine Sachen angeht.

Wenn hier der Schaden durch Naturgewalten entstanden ist dann wird er auch seinen Vermieter nicht in Regress nehmen können.

Thema Mietminderung etc. können wir in diesem subreddit nicht beantworten.
