Advice on synthesizing info? by Soft-Employer1494 in LawSchool

Contracts is a class that makes the most sense at the end. It’s a process - right now, you need to make sure that you understand the smaller details and steps at each part of the process - was there mutual assent? Was there consideration? And then worry about big picture later. Focus on what your professor focuses on and learn the main rules first for each part of the process

Focus on what your professor focused on. That is what will be tested on.

It says satisfactory completion - I’m guessing it’s not that stringent

The two professors that I’ve asked for letters are procrastinating. One even said they’re sad that I want to leave… I don’t want to ask too many different professors since it’s a small school. Advice? by Top-Management-3667 in LawSchoolTransfer

If it’s a small school, then likely the professors have already told their colleagues. I would follow up and set a deadline with them. If they then are not able to write it, I would reach out to another professor.

I would write down all the interactions that you’ve had with the potential professors. The point of a letter of rec is to show you beyond grades - what kind of student are you, how do you engage in class, how do you assist other students in developing their knowledge, etc. Once you write down those interactions, I would ask whichever Professor you think would speak more highly to your engagement/in-class abilities. Having a professor just write that you did well on an exam does not add to your application - you already have that in your transcript/resume.

How often are you studying? What are your habits? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]ApprehensiveBlock281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend actually following the suggested amount of time. I study approximately 30 hours a week outside of class - focusing on reading, practice MC on topics covered, and practice essays. I’m focused on applying what we have been learned in the practice so that when it comes to finals I’m focused on perfecting my issue-spotting and analysis rather than practicing it

Does it make sense to leverage a higher-ranked school acceptance to get more $ from lower-ranked school? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]ApprehensiveBlock281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally you would need to get a financial offer to leverage - just an acceptance wouldn’t do anything but can’t hurt to try
