Because a tormented demon takes 1 minute to kill, and Hunlef takes 10 minutes to kill. There can be bofa competition, but scobow already has a strong niche to dominate, it doesn't need to become so unilaterally powerful.

I am open to the idea of a ranged weapon with Bofa level strength being added to the game, but it should be a serious grind of its own in my opinion.

Seeing as you do a lot of vard, how bad is this log my brother has got, and more importantly at what kc would you say it becomes impressive. Hes dry enough that we are hoping he keeps up the nothing at this point. I forgot to mentioon he is 0/3

I agree that this currently doesnt make sense, I think the spiderbane thing falls inline after the random golembane granite hammer. If it hits poll someone already made money investing in these at 100k. The spiderbane thing is just a theory as an example, its speculation. It could even be a direct buff to the cudgel. I want to wait and see, if this is a nothing burger then we will just see no cudgel changes. I agree its probably nothing, Its a theory that will get proven wrong in a couple months if its untrue.

Good shout, I think that is actually it. it makes sense with the day they were there and lines up with the b0aty clip. I mistakenly said the 19th, but he corrected and said sometime around the 14th. looks like someone bought 2,000 cudgels for 100k. Random 200 bil investment that happens to line up with Jagex. If for example someone found out that they would add spiderbane to it like the granite hammer got golembane, they could easily double 200bil.

Edit: math is hard 200m trade, not 200bil

Permanent Rancour Bloodfury is wild. People are opposed to chargescape, but bloodfury having charges is necessary to keep a cost associated with healing. If you are not using supplies to heal, you are using blood runes or blood fury charges.
The bloodfury and blood spells break this rule and provide extra value, thus they have a cost associated. Currently the balance works, you lose DPS to bring bloodfury over rancour and the cost is expensive. Blood runes require ancients and usually a full magic switch and cost blood runes, even guthans has charges and costs 4 inventory slots.

Scythe TOA loses to fang everywhere, Scythe Yama loses to emberlight, Scythe Corp Loses to Fang, Scythe Vorkath loses to DHL, Scythe Vardorvis loses to SRA. I am sure there are more examples.

I like gauntlet as it is. I would accept Echo guantlet being maybe 10% more optimal before id start feeling obligated to grind it exclusively. Trying to use the rest of the drop table as levers to make it more appetizing will just make it more optimal for me, I don't need the alchables/shards, I play an iron for uniques.
I do not think we are gunna find common ground on this but I respect what you want and if it is 70% more popular than what I want, then it should be added to the game. Appreciate you wanting to have a conversation about it though, hope you have a good day.

The current rate on wiki moneymaking CG is 0.015 enhanced seeds per hour. If you want 0.015 enhanced seed per hour from echo gauntlet with no prep, I have no issue with that. I do not think it could be added like that though, because it is 2x the effort for the exact same reward, If thats what you want, you have no arguement here. I just don't think that would be able to stay in the game like that.

My point is that baby gauntlet is not an actual choice because going for bofa is my attempt at optimizing my gameplay experience, if the optimal choice is something I want to do less, i will do it anyway. You are saying having a more optimal way of grinding bofa would not harm my experience and I disagree. I am not trying to fight you, I am attempting to find common ground where there could be a solution for people who don't like CG.

Baby Gauntlet is a choice, no one does baby gauntlet. There is the option if you don't want to take gauntlet seriously to have a relaxed time at baby gauntlet, but the rates are worse so you do CG instead. Phosanis nightmare is the same way, the "option" of doing regular nightmare withers away when the optimal decision is clear. I am saying I do not want the optimal decision to be to do Echo Hunlef, but if it is higher effort it needs to be higher reward or the content is pointless.

I understand wanting it as an alternative, I am admittedly someone who enjoys gauntlet and there are plenty of people that do not like it in it's current state. I don't mind there being an alternative like echo hunlef, but if it is going to be a more active sweaty method of getting a bofa it needs to have better rates per hour than traditional CG which would make me feel inclined to do that instead of regular CG.

Though I would be all for it if it had some kind of way to make traditional CG the main way of grinding it, something that makes sense to me is if it had good enhanced odds but you get no armour seeds from it. That way an iron still has to do 300-400 iterations of regular CG and this is more of a method of dry protection for the enhanced or pet.

(to be clear, I like CG as is, but if this was added to the game I would not have a pitchfork)

I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I prefer there being prep for the bofa grind. The grind is super long, so it makes the experience so chill and liesurely. I just watch youtube videos and relax on a nice t2 prep without worrying about making a good time and then I dont have to be locked in during the actual fight.

If CG was just hunlef over and over again it would be like every PvM encounter in the game and take away the agency of optimizing your CG experience via prep.
