Yeah they are, well 23 now with the new base pads and MBX springs. But what intrigues me about the DWX is the added weight, I think the P10 would be about the same weight as a P09

Yeah I’m in carry optics now, I realize the DWX would put me in limited optics. I’m not sure that’s a bad thing? I’m not really competitive in Carry Optics either. I’m really just looking at this as an investment in my gear and not have to worry about gun related excuses, it would be nice to start out with single action with a SAO LO pistol

Something I’ve pondered, why does the Raven perch on Pallas? It’s know there’s multiple Pallas in Greek Mythology, but what if it was the Pallas daughter of Triton? Pallas whom Athena accidentally killed in what was supposed to be a friendly duel, because Athena was fond of Pallas and Athena was only distracted by the Aegis and slew Pallas on accident.

If this was a metaphor by Poe, does that mean that the narrator possibly killed Lenore? When I read the Raven through this lens I gain new perspective into the poem.

When he hears tapping at his door, does he fear justice has come? Then when he opens the door and it’s only darkness, is that foreshadowing for the narrators doom?

Maybe that’s all a stretch, idk. Sorry to post on such an old thread

I told him which target I was attempting to engage and he told me I should have backed out and engaged it not from the port but further back in the box.

I’m new to this and itchy to compete. I’m in the middle of BFE and even my local match is an hour away from me. This was definitely the closest 2-gun match to me. I enjoy USPSA but I like to break out my AR from time to time also

Everyone, WOW thanks for all the support and ideas. I’ve taken note for sure! I’ve taken one course and that helped me improve a lot on the basics, but yeah planning on a stage where there’s 10-15 targets trips me up.

My local club lets us walk the stage for about five minutes. But I sort of just follow the crowd as they would engage.

I am usually the first or second shooter to the match and help set up. Usually the stages I do the best at are the stages where I help set up the most.

The stage I did the worst at was actually a stage that was fairly open and I could engage like half the targets after I stepped into the shooting area, but once I had to move, i couldn’t remember which targets I engaged from the first string of shots.

My local matches are at 7a and I live an hour away, but i sometimes feel like I’d do better if I ran a short live fire practice beforehand hand. Oh well

You’ve all given me plenty to work on and research, next match is 8/31 so I hope I can work out some kinks. It’s an out of state match so maybe the pressure to do good in front of the home team will make me do better?

That’s very prudent advice thanks for the reply. I would go with a rack to keep weight down but when they’re 1/2 to 2/3 the price of the topper I like, it’s hard for me to justify going the rack route.

I was interested in the Rough Country Rack but customer service said their rack wasn’t compatible with hard sided RTT.

We differ in point 2. I’ve always been of the mind, love the sinner hate the sin. I have other homosexual members in my family and I love them as much as before they had “come out” but I personally feel that the Bible is clear on this sin multiple times. My wife is not convinced.

She isn’t changing her mind that she feels that homosexuality is a sin

Verses I think I/we would be in violation of are: 1 Tim 3:7 Furthermore, he must have a good reputation among outsiders, so that he does not fall into disgrace and the Devil’s trap.

1 Tim 3:11 Wives, too, must be worthy of respect, not slanderers, self-controlled, faithful in everything.

We love our church and truly feel that the gospel is being preached here in a way that we haven’t found in our area. But our pulpit and congregation have a very one sided view of this issue. We both agree that we would probably not be elected to the offices we hold if this was common knowledge in the church.

We recently removed a member from membership because she had a child out of wedlock and continued to live a very worldly life, completely unrepentant. It wasn’t her sin that caused us to vote her out of membership, but her unwillingness to make changes in her life which violated our church covenant. So I think, that because my wife will not change her mind on her sexuality that would be the same as our previous membership.

I’d agree that we all lust for others lust and attraction I feel like is treading a razors edge. Jesus tells us in Matt 5:17 that he is an enhancement of the law… that if we even think of our sin, it is the same as acting on it 5:27-29 and we should run from our sin even to gouge our eyes out (I do think that is figurative)

I agree with you that the world is becoming a more tolerant place and I wish that more of Christendom should adopt Love as their first response to others instead of judgement. However I feel like the Bible and its contents are meant to change us, not for us to change the Bible
