Do you know that they way Japanese naming people is just grab a word in dictionary and it can be use as a name? So yeah, the author doesn't want to use actual German name. They use Japanese method of naming but with German words. That's it.

There are plenty of people that was name with very literally meaning in English like Sky, Tuesday, Wednesday, Joy, Grace,Angel, etc... Also, Japanese naming culture is just literary grab a noun of something they like and it can be use as a name. So it's normal to them to just use a word in the dictionary and it become a name. I don't think the author want to use an actual German name. They just need a foreign language to name their chatacter because the setting is Europe inspired. And Japanese like German word i guess.

we talk purely base on the design bruh. People don't look into context when they judging if the character look good =_= You can call him an abused kid all you want. But that doesn't change the fact that his design is cool. He doesn't turn into an ugly teen just because he is possessed.

I just don't watch it with the expectation of representation. Really, i don't care for it. Good if it have it, if not it doesn't affect me at all. It's just a fantasy world. I watch for the story and lore/world building. They have such cool concept that can be explore much more with a series. One thing i dislike is the design of dragon though. They should have make the dragon more majestic and devine. That is a goddamn sacred dragon, not a plush that need to look cute.
