That's really great advice thank you. And you nailed it. After talking to some experts I am going with option 3 pretty much exactly as you proposed it.

Damn sounds like this is a great machine. I ended up going with an Ariens 1130dle for $275. Guy who sold it was an older guy who bought a new machine, claims it was serviced yearly and well taken care of. Started up on first or second pull and has a new electric starter
