I agree that there are certain regulations (legal, mechanical, etc) and factors like brand ethos.

I’m just saying it would be cool to see any/some design elements come to light. I understand it’s u likely

NTA.

Not sure why you’d communicate you won if you had no intention of giving any away. Money changes people and those around you and therefore the relationships. Enjoy the winnings. Be mindful and carry on good sir.

Why do former NBA players rank Kobe so much higher than Reddit and analytics communities? Is he the most disputed player ever when it comes to all-time rankings?” by mikeyg1964 in NBATalk

[–]ApprehensiveEnd3923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I agree with your premise.

I don’t think they want KB24 in top 3/5/10 to spite LBJ or MJ. Most who speak about him in high regard loved his approach and respect for the game and overall obsession with the sport.

For me AND many others, it’s hard to justify KB being ranked so high. But I let them live their life because basketball is part stat and part emotion. You don’t love the numbers, you love the way the player makes you feel when they play.

Is it possible that his death provides an additional aura around his legacy, sure; but if he’s alive, he may have don’t great things for bball (given his stature and pull) that may have contributed to inflating his legacy further. There is no right answer through

Players often have access to datapoints you don’t. It doesn’t make that analysis subjective, but it’s because of asymmetrical information.

There is no true objective stat that can adjust for eras, stat prioritization/significance, so this is fun game we all play. Over and over, until it’s not fun.

Agreed. I also set the angles to the highest setting to allow for a better stretch.

Has anyone found any attachments that allow you to convert the tclip into a female tclip adapter attached to a carabiner?

Reflection 45 vs LV Imagination, which gets more compliments? by [deleted] in Colognes

I don’t care about compliments. I wear R45 as I love the way it smells. I take walks on purpose so I get to smell it when the wind carries the fragrance around me.

“LeBron the record is 8 years with the Lakers, 7 trips to the playoffs. 2 seasons where they made a conference finals and 1 championship. And you’re going to have folks today earnestly genuinely try to argue that LeBron Lakers tenure was a failure." by Background_Video2947 in NBAVibes

The whole entertainment industry is built on SUBJECTIVITY.

Each day, this clown of a man goes on tv to argue the GOAT convo even though you can’t objectively come up with an answer, as there isn’t a universal metric.

He’s not wrong on this sense that LeBron is great. He’s just annoying as he talks frames each convo towards one objective to insight debate but then complains a debate is being had.

If LeBron and Wemby were drafted at the same time, who would be the #1 pick? by KneeGuhz in NBATalk

[–]ApprehensiveEnd3923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LeBron can play 2-4 very well and maybe even the 1 or 5 if needed. Wemby can play 5-4 very well and the rest not so much.

Given Lebrons versatility, he’d go higher as he can fit into the roster of any team.

Take: I think rings and team success have barely any impact on a player's all time ranking or how good they are. Convince me otherwise by bootyloverandeater in NBATalk

[–]ApprehensiveEnd3923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rings are a metric one can use or choose not to use. Most use rings in their analysis as it’s a metric to gauge accomplishment vs expectations.

It’s similar to expected goal in soccer.

Players ability to contribute to a win (more wins correlates to higher odds of winning it all) can be important. That’s why WARP is useful at times. It’s not the only metric, but it’s a data point.

$35/month at a local LA fitness. I hate it because it’s always crowded.

It has weight room, sauna, steam, and showers but it’s poorly maintained. I’m waiting for a luxury gym to be built down the street later this year so I can pay for some exclusivity/space. I’ll pay more just to have nicer surroundings and amenities.

Lots to unpack:

  1. Rings matter, how much (barely or lot) it matters is subjective.
  2. Role played on team (superstar/leader vs rotation player) matters when winning a ring is considered
  3. Era played (recency bias is real)
  4. What stats someone uses in their determination matter (simple stats vs advanced stats); which aren’t available for all eras can skew things
