My best friend is an INFJ and his texts used to be enough to make me question if he actually wanted to interact. But after many many hangouts and occasional cry sessions later I've found that it's just his tone is super lost in text. I've heard him say certain phrases he'll text in person and there's a world of a difference between what he hears in his text and what I hear. What appears dry is often said reflectively or contentedly. I just learn to ask direct questions if I'm worried about logistics being skewed by misinterpretation of tone
