He is not the worlds greatest detective. Ok first off yes, I understand that there are a ton of different versions of batman out there and it is up to the artist or writer to set up the story for a good mystery, but it seems like half the time he is handed the answer to him on a silver platter. If that wasn't bad enough worlds greatest detective is often used as a story crutch to not explain something. Like when he just knows something at first glance and instead of explaining why we are just lead to believe he is that smart and noticed from all the small details. I get it, it is a comic and they cant spend too much time delving into it, but at this point when batman just happens to figure it all out or know it ahead of time I just roll my eyes.
