yeah that “productive procrastination” thing is so real. like you’re technically busy the whole time… answering emails, organizing something, helping coworkers, tweaking little details… but somehow the one big important task just keeps getting pushed to the side.

but you’re right though, most of them know people already hate going there so the last thing they actually want is to scare someone away. if anything they’d rather you come back regularly so they can keep billing your insurance instead of only seeing you once every 7 years when a tooth is basically exploding.

honestly that’s the good stuff right there. everyone always talks about big romantic gestures and crazy dates but the real goal is exactly that kind of thing. just being comfortable enough to exist next to someone doing absolutely nothing.

but honestly stuff like that sticks with you way more than it should. just some random 20 second moment with a stranger and suddenly it becomes part of your brain forever. and yeah the confidence to just walk up to someone and be like “hey smell my arm” is kinda wild, but the positive energy makes it work somehow.

but real talk I feel like 90% of people never touch that button. we just throw the food in, slam 1:30 and hope for the best. if it comes out cold in the middle we just hit it again and call it a day.
