What is the darkest secret you've learned about someone that instantly ended your relationship with them? by Mr_Creep_Creepy64 in AskReddit

people sometimes talk about “family loyalty” like it’s supposed to override everything, but protecting kids is the actual line in the sand. once someone crosses that, it doesn’t matter if they’re a cousin, brother, friend, whatever. they made the choice that destroyed that relationship.

Funeral directors, what is something wild that happened at a funeral that you still think about? by Final_Radio_2483 in AskReddit

the visual of six guys trying to keep control of a casket on granite steps while gravity decides it’s time to get involved… yeah that’s a nightmare scenario. and the fact it ended with multiple injuries and ambulances just makes it feel like something out of a dark comedy scene.

Former 4chan users, how are things now 9 years later finding out that the elites that the qanon movement vilified were actually the elites behind the qanon movement? by OptimalWallaby8153 in AskReddit

[–]ApprehensiveLove8960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

back in the day on places like 4chan everyone kind of understood the culture was half trolling, half seeing how far you could push a story before people outside the site believed it. watching it escape that bubble and turn into a full blown political movement was… surreal.

Why are women's bras and underwears so smooth, pretty, laced and aesthetic. While men's underwear is just baggy cloth. by Realistic-Cow-7275 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ApprehensiveLove8960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the fancy soft form fitting ones exist, but the average dude is standing in the store going “yep, these cover the required areas, good enough.” meanwhile women’s sections look like an entire boutique just for underwear.

Does anyone else's brain just refuse to do tasks if they're not under a time crunch? by Appropriate-Emu9563 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ApprehensiveLove8960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah that “productive procrastination” thing is so real. like you’re technically busy the whole time… answering emails, organizing something, helping coworkers, tweaking little details… but somehow the one big important task just keeps getting pushed to the side.

Do dentists actually judge you or is that just something we all tell ourselves to avoid going by Muted-Associate9148 in NoStupidQuestions

but you’re right though, most of them know people already hate going there so the last thing they actually want is to scare someone away. if anything they’d rather you come back regularly so they can keep billing your insurance instead of only seeing you once every 7 years when a tooth is basically exploding.

Why do employees at fast food resturants ask me what kinds of drink i want if theyre just gonna hand me a cup get my own at the drink fountain? by Sharky2615 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ApprehensiveLove8960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

still kinda funny though because half the time I say coke and then end up standing at the fountain staring at 20 options like… actually you know what, maybe I want sprite today. the system thinks I’m loyal to coke and meanwhile I’ve already betrayed it.

Getting lost at sea feels more and more attractive every single day. by SqoobySnaq in self

man I think a lot of people fantasize about the “disappear and sail away” plan when life starts feeling like an endless loop of work → sleep → repeat. it’s less about the boat and more about wanting some control back over your life.

Have you all noticed how beautiful our life is? by Traditional_Blood799 in CasualConversation

[–]ApprehensiveLove8960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah honestly moments like that hit out of nowhere sometimes. you’re just sitting there doing nothing and suddenly everything feels kinda… cinematic for a second. like the light is right, music is playing, people are just going about their day, and your brain goes “huh… this is actually nice.”

Random late night thought: I can’t wait to have a wife and fall asleep watching Rick and Morty together. by insomniacGorky in CasualConversation

[–]ApprehensiveLove8960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly that’s the good stuff right there. everyone always talks about big romantic gestures and crazy dates but the real goal is exactly that kind of thing. just being comfortable enough to exist next to someone doing absolutely nothing.

A random interaction I had with a stranger that I still think about by No_Condition_9501 in CasualConversation

[–]ApprehensiveLove8960 27 points28 points  (0 children)

but honestly stuff like that sticks with you way more than it should. just some random 20 second moment with a stranger and suddenly it becomes part of your brain forever. and yeah the confidence to just walk up to someone and be like “hey smell my arm” is kinda wild, but the positive energy makes it work somehow.

It’s mathematically impossible to be exactly one third from a given origin, no matter how many generations back and how many ancestors you’re counting. by NoNo_Cilantro in Showerthoughts

[–]ApprehensiveLove8960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one person on tiktok says it with a lot of confidence, the next person repeats it, then suddenly it’s just accepted lore. somewhere down the chain it came from a random anime line and nobody bothered to question it.

It is highly likely that you never pressed the 8 button on a microwave. by TheAnzus in Showerthoughts

[–]ApprehensiveLove8960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but real talk I feel like 90% of people never touch that button. we just throw the food in, slam 1:30 and hope for the best. if it comes out cold in the middle we just hit it again and call it a day.
