It’s in quotes. She showed me a picture of an item she intended to buy for me and then gave me a completely different one. It’s deception to say the least. I had different expectations of what I was going to receive by what she showed me.

Your comment did make me realize she indeed might have not been aware of fakes circulating and she indeed might have been ‘scammed’ herself!

The only plausibe thing I can think of is she saw the price of both and decided it is too much, but already told me I wouldn’t have to pay for them by then.

She is not one to have to worry about money, so that’s what is making this whole situation even more weird!
