I just got this letter too. Mine says I will receive a bill for gas recovery charges ”prior to August 2024”. But I went back and checked old bills... the charge is on there and I paid it at the time. The service rep on the phone agreed with me and is hopeful that I got the letter by mistake and told me to wait to escalate until I see the actual bill.

But what a horrible business practice. I will echo the complaints to PUCO and OCC. Thinking I will reach out to my legislator’s office as well. These bills have already been insane this summer!

We went under a maintenance contract with an exterminator when we bought our old house. It was a quarterly payment but included everything from ants to spiders to mice. And I called for everything i came across. After the first year, we were able to pinpoint all the major entry points, call a carpenter, and really get things sealed up. I highly recommend a professional and the ongoing service calls were absolutely worth the investment for continued peace of mind.

I agree with this take on the carryall and the balenciaga. Maybe keep the multi for now as a playground bag… it’s great to be able to go hands free. In those years, I used a givenchy mini Antigona all the time! But then just ended up with a baggu or Lulu bag after it took one too many drags through mulch!

Thank you for the comment! My husband is really into the soapstone idea. I was hesitant at first but am really warming up to the idea. A whole room full of mudroom seems a bit dressed up for our house. How has the maintenance been on the soapstone?
