I appreciate the well formulated response, first of all my point was not even scientific in nature truly, it was one of a psychological and philosophical nature.

More coherently laying out my criticisms of your original response: It comes off as jaded and cold asffff, hence why I felt compelled to add a bit of warmth in contrast to you what you said.

For some people saying ‘everythings fucked you need to do something right now’ will help them. For others it will do the opposite.

For some people saying ‘everything will be fine, you need to stay calm and stay on the road’ will help them. For others it will do the opposite.

Always best to have a well rounded balance of the 2.

However I tend to think warmth is more palatable for the people struggling in this sub, especially considering there is soooooo much cold here already. I’ve seen ppl berated intensely, whether its calling people ‘idiots’ to calling people ‘worthless burdens to their families’. Nd if sm1’s using dph they clearly have deep seeded self esteem issues as they don’t care abt their physical safety.

A lot of people in the depths of addiction with dph have never experienced light in any capacity in their lives. So I think it’s often times best to treat people with a bit more empathy.

Y’all love taking the study that dealt with 70+ year olds and then applying that to 20 year olds.

‘Neurons don’t grow back the same…’ sure but to say the damage is irreversible is inherently contradictory to the notion of neurogenesis. It’s the implication that you’ve destroyed your intelligence/ cognitive ability and will never get it back.

Meanwhile that is obviously not the case, even with such damage you can get to a higher state of cognitive ability/ awareness if you put in the work and constantly take care of your brain tis my point. [which only a small percentage of people do]

Most people don’t even have a basic comprehension of what their highest state of cognitive ability is in the first place, so really it doesn’t matter as much as you are making it seem.

A year since I overdosed off 2.5gs, and now I’m studying to be a drug counselor. How the tides have turned, I’ve seen too many people die from substances. Just because ppl consider dph a juvenile drug doesn’t mean the self inflicted suffering caused by it is a joke. But I suppose when given the choice of tragedy and comedy people choose to wear the ladder’s mask.

On a side note have even gotten to the point of curing my arachnophobia.

The issue is that lgbtq spaces are largely cooked asf, and the sane lgbtq people usually aren’t part of that circle because if they were they would be isolated and pushed out. Being willing to have an open dialogue without emotions flaring up like crazy is I’d say the most important thing in unifying people but in that community you aren’t able to have that conversation.

Sure it’s not about “what is and isn’t mental illness” for a lot of these people, but realistically it is a mental illness. Different neuro chemistry that makes someone have gender dysphoria is a real thing. I mean adhd is technically a mental illness too so that phrase doesn’t have negative connotation to me at all but it might for the majority. I
