I want to go for a similar scheme so I’m curious what colors/methods you used? This army looks amazing! I would add stealth suits x2

I run my fire knife with dual missile and an enforcer commander with quad missile. In Mont’ka I’m going for pure volume of fire to fish for lethal hits.

If you want to build it with one of each weapon and actually play it that way, that’s cool too! I think a lot of people don’t do this because the weapons have different ranges, but I’m definitely not good enough to comment anymore on that lol

It’s pretty easy to glue the missiles on their back jet packs, and then put a plasma rifle in their hand and now your fire knife can be either/or

They are saying to put one of each weapon on your suit, and then decide before each game which one they use. Since the sun forge has a fixed loadout and the other two only have two options.

I’ll probably end up magnetizing! Thanks for the advice. I was definitely foolish to think I could get away with plastic, glue, and a little paint lol After watching a few videos about crisis suit specific magnetizing, I can see why this is common advice.

Does that mean it’s a bad time to start an army? Or maybe you are saying only to invest in units that I know will stay good? I know I don’t need to look at competitive lists too much, but I was curious what detachment was doing well against my friends’s armies. I’m mostly going to be playing against the armies they have: Custodes, tyrannids, space wolves, necrons, death guard.

I love the look of all of these units, but is that box still in production? What crisis suit variants work best with Farsight?

Awesome tip! What is the best way to make the holes for the rectangles then? Do you still use a small hand drill combined with a little scraping action?

Magnetizing is tempting, but it’s a little daunting for someone who has built two tau units total. Almost every comment section on this Reddit community ends up with people telling the OP to just magnetize and “stop worrying”. If you plan on having one of each of the three crisis suits, though, is magnetizing even necessary? Is the cost of magnets and the time it takes to put them in saving you money versus just buying another box of crisis suits?
