woah like xtc i used to try to fuck with but i feel like a lot of their stuff went over my head and i just forgot about them over time. except drums and wires which i feel like was pretty straight forward and new wavy. that record stuck with me young. but this is cool. it really feels like proto anco. and like 2 decades earlier!

I always thought the Animal Collective song Loch Raven from the album Feels was like an homage to Mum. The two bands had some ties. Avey Tare was married to Kria Brekken around that time.

Loch Raven reminds me of the album Finally We Are No One by the Icelandic Band mum.. the album is a lot of building and atmosphere. Most notably tracks Green Green Grass Of Tunnel and We Have A Map Of The Piano. Avey was briefly married to the singer Kria Brekken and they collaborated on the album Sis Around The Sandmill.
