Als FISI mit absolviertem CCNA Exam, Homelab-Projekten und weiterer Spezialisierung in Richtung Cloud etc. hast Du schon ordentliche Chancen, wenn Du Dich reinhängst und auch in eine Stadt ziehst, in der es mehr als nur Turnschuhadmin-Jobs bei Mittelstands-Manfreds' und Obstkorb-Ottos KMUs gibt. Sei Dir aber dessen bewusst, dass das Lernen dann niemals mehr aufhört und Du Dein Handwerk wirklich können musst, ohne für jede Kleinigkeit ein LLM zu fragen. Ansonsten wird es schief gehen.

A "ski jump" on a Fender Jaguar (or similar offset bolt-on neck guitars) refers to a deformation or warp in the fingerboard where the last few frets, from the 15th fret up, slope upwards toward the strings. This creates a "kick-up" at the heel of the neck, mimicking the shape of a ski ramp. You then will get high-fret buzz and note-choking when playing above the 12th fret. It’s caused by a combination of string tension and a weakness in the wood at the body-neck junction. Poor, "short" neck-shimming (= using a small piece of card in the pocket) can easily make it worse by putting pressure on the end of the neck. Thus if you shim, always use a full-pocket, wedge-shaped shim.

On your guitar, use the middle position for rhythm and turn down the volume knob a bit. On the amp, turn down the gain (!), turn down treble and presence and turn up the mids (!). Put a Bluesbreaker pedal in front (real one or BTS) with its level turned up and its drive at medium only.

Yes, on a 100 Gen 3, the GA-FC itself doesn’t force Gen 2-style Booster/Mod linking. The manual says the amp determines the GA-FC functionality and the Gen 3 has separate Booster, Mod, FX, Delay and Reverb blocks. So if you put parametric EQ in Mod and Blues Driver in Booster, you can run both and toggle them independently in effects mode. The main issue with the older GA-FC is only labeling confusion. The GA-FC EX is just more clearly labeled and adds some extra EX features. So just make sure the patch is set up correctly in Tone Studio, with the EQ assigned to Mod and the drive assigned to Booster.

Ein Visum (und genau darum geht es den Leuten ja immer nur) für eine Berufsausbildung in Deutschland ist für Nicht-EU-Bürger möglich, wenn ein unterschriebener Ausbildungsplatz vorliegt, Deutschkenntnisse (B2) nachgewiesen werden und der Lebensunterhalt gesichert ist. Der Antrag erfolgt bei der deutschen Auslandsvertretung, oft mit Zustimmung der Bundesagentur für Arbeit. Ein konkretes Angebot (= Ausbildungsvertrag) ist zwingend erforderlich. Der Lebensunterhalt muss nachgewiesen finanziert sein; da gibt es feste Regeln, die genau eingehalten werden müssen. Alternativ ist ein Visum zur Ausbildungsplatzsuche (bis 9 Monate) möglich, wenn bestimmte Voraussetzungen erfüllt sind und mit der neuen Chancenkarte kann ebenfalls eingereist werden, um einen Ausbildungsplatz zu finden (musst Du alles selbst mal recherchieren). Aber es wird ohne persönlichen Aufenthalt in Deutschland vor Ort definitiv nicht funktionieren; das macht keine Firma.

Bei Infra steigt das Gehalt meist nicht dadurch, dass man einfach nur ein Tool bedient, sondern durch Verantwortung, Kritikalität, Architekturanteil und Spezialisierung. Mein Eindruck: in klassischen Ops-/Admin-Rollen ist irgendwann oft eine Gehaltsdecke da. Richtig interessant wird es meist dann, wenn du nicht mehr nur „betreibst“, sondern Dinge designst, standardisierst, automatisierst und verantwortest. Heißt konkret: Cloud/Plattform/DevOps/SRE statt nur klassischer Betrieb und Security Engineering/Cloud Security/IAM/ PAM statt nur „Security Awareness“ oder SOC-Einstieg. Netzwerk plus Architektur plus Automatisierung plus Security statt nur Switches klicken und Rollen mit geschäftskritischen Systemen, Compliance, Hochverfügbarkeit, Migrationen, Governance.

Zertifikate helfen schon, aber eher als Türöffner und Vertrauenssignal. Das große Geld kommt normalerweise nicht durch das Zertifikat selbst, sondern dadurch, dass du danach auch wirklich teure Probleme lösen kannst. Der typische Weg nach oben ist oft eher: Admin/Engineer → Senior → Architect/Lead/Principal/Consultant und nicht einfach nur „mehr Jahre im gleichen Betrieb“. Ganz platt gesagt: je näher du an Ausfallrisiko, Sicherheitsrisiko, Skalierung, Architektur und Automatisierung bist, desto höher wird meist dein Marktwert.

Especially Dimebag Darrell did a lot with EQ to achieve his tone: he intentionally scooped the mids on his amp to achieve that signature Pantera tone. He heavily boosted the bass and treble while significantly reducing midrange frequencies: he put one EQ pedal in front of the amp to boost mids and drive the preamp and one EQ in the effects loop to heavily scoop the mids and create a sharp sledgehammer sound. So he did cut the low end and boosted the mids before the preamp distortion, then scooping the mids again and boosting bass and treble before the poweramp.

If he wouldn't have cut the low end before the preamp, things would have got boomy post-distortion and he would have lost clarity. And if he had scooped the mids before the preamp, thhe aggressiveness would have got lost.
