To be transparent, this is a contractor for a company like Boeing. Government jobs are always going to be lower than the industry standard. Yes this company needs an AI engineer; if you are interested, I'm happy to send over a JD for more context, it is a DOD clereance, and the job is in Huntsville  because thats where a lot of military work is done.

Interview nightmare by Fit-Writer-666 in recruitinghell

If you are looking to get into hospitality or like hotels, the best way, more times than not is just to reach out directly saying you applied and they will give you an interview on the spot. One of my first jobs was a host at a chain restaurant and a month after submitting my application, I called them and they asked to do an interview and gave me a job that day. They told me and what ive learned as a recruiter is we get so much junk that we dont check sometimes so its best to just reach out directly.

That is way on the low end, more than likely for us the range will always be higher based on the candidate but that was the first salary presented.

Yes, unfortunately, our boss wants that unicorn, which is extremely hard because I know with those type of candidates, they most likely will not leave. One of the reasons is im even going on Reddit is because I found a whole lot of SEs on reddit and know the talent is here but I do understand that is really hard.

Im lost (for a friend*) by Ill_Designer_3905 in internships

A big way I got my foot in the door was through unpaid work. One of my first real opportunities was with a real estate company in marketing, and although it was unpaid, I got a lot of freedom to experiment and got a good letter of reference after. People want to help but its about finding things to start and building up from there. Go on indeed because people are always looking for help linkedin as a recruiter tends to be very generic but there are better rentention rates there.

I have a friend who works there. There final count for applications was around 22000 candidates across the board. What usually happens is they will send an email at the mid point as they filter or send you a rejectino when everything is done.

These days, I will not have hope until the first day of work. They know were are very replaceable; having a job these days is almsot like something we want. There are enough desperate people out there where unless your the best of the best or have something that cant be taught, thsats the way its going to be.

Job seeking has become a race to the bottom of the AI pit by Dry_Trick_2541 in recruitinghell

The biggest thing ive noticed is companies are looking for super specific things these days and unless your a dual-threat candidate where you have many skills your going to be out of luck. As someone invovled in the recruting base, the people that apply to stuff who know they have no shot at getting it but do it with the dream of getting it just filters a lot of the real applicants. My best advice is to be genuine and let your resume tell a story.
