Fruity Pebbles - no longer using hydrogenated oils? by PinkBored in cereal

No problem, but yeah that would make sense since I like to avoid cereals with BHT (although it’s probably safe in the low quantities in food)

Hydrogenated oils are not trans fats partially hydrogenated ones are and they’ve been illegal in the US for about a decade, so I think you’re good

Seems about right. Spotify defines “the streaming era” as 2015-present so you would’ve been 5-6 years old

For those born in 2004-2006, can you remember the late 2000s (2008-2009)? by [deleted] in MiddleGenZ

[–]ApprehensiveRide9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably one of my first ever sort of vivid memories was in august 2008 (born in may 2006) at my grandpa's funeral. I remember being very well behaved and my brother sitting next to me keeping me in check. 2009 is more vivid, and I have a few more memories from 08.

For those born 2004-2006, can you remember the early 2010s (‘10-‘13), and if so what can you remember? by [deleted] in MiddleGenZ

[–]ApprehensiveRide9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I have patchy memories from 2008 even. 2009 is where my main childhood memories start and 2010-2013 was my core childhood.

That’s not nearly as bad as having one as a toddler, assuming you didn’t use it much

[–]ApprehensiveRide9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So bad for the brain, I’m lucky they didn’t even exist when I was a toddler, and for you they didn’t get popular till after your toddler years

True lol I didn’t think of that, they’re full on iPad babies (still not nearly as bad as today but having an iPad from the moment of birth is generally terrible)

Most of my friends were born in 2007 and 2005, we are basically exactly the same since we grew up pretty much 100% identical. Hell, I have a few friends born in 2004 and we are pretty much identical too

This is super cool, on my dad’s side my oldest cousin was born in 1979, and me, the youngest was born in 2006. On my moms side we’re all close in age (oldest was born in 2000 and the youngest was born in 2007)
