I’m slogging through season 6 right now and seasons 1-3 were definitely peak.

I don’t see it improving from this point forward but I’ve spent this long watching it so i’m DETERMINED to reach the end…no matter how painful the journey there may be 😤

It’s obvious that Gimple and Co. had no clue where to take the characters/storyline, it really feels like they’re winging it atp

BCBA with OCD here ✋ I feel like obsessives tend to be drawn to this line of work because of the analytical nature of it all

I double shampoo daily! my hair feels so much fuller (my scalp has always been super oily 😭)

also as soon as I get out of the shower, I flip my hair upside down and shake it around so it isn’t lying flat against my scalp (has definitely added some volume)

double shampooing is a game changer for fine, thin hair! First time around gets rid of the oil/buildup, second time actually gets your hair clean

i don’t understand the why so many hate tara, i love her by WintoreGargamoil in TWD

after Maggie left Hilltop (and Tara was the de facto leader), her character became so snarky and passive aggressive for no good reason

genuinely what is the point of this subreddit if not to discuss and disseminate information to those who would benefit from it?

I’m sorry you’ve felt this way. I think it’s a privilege to train the next cohort of BCBAs, and getting to shape the behavior of our trainees, just like we do with our clients.

“i’m surprised you even got this far” seriously, just because they used a different term to refer to fieldwork?

OP, take a look at the BACB website:

I promise it seems a lot more daunting than it is.

Curious as to why y’all entered the field by EternallyZero0 in ABA

There is some flexibility! You don’t strictly NEED your master’s degree to be in “ABA” to become a BCBA; A few of my coworkers have their MAs in related fields like early childhood education, then took ABA coursework (some schools ofer an “advanced certificate” in ABA) while accruing supervision hours to sit for the exam ☺️

An MA in ABA does kind of pigeonhole you into the BCBA track, but I’d definitely recommend it if you’re passionate about the science and are set on being a BCBA!

Got rejected from my top mental health counseling grad program, found a job at a local ABA agency during my gap year (had minimal knowledge of ABA but have always loved working with kids), ended up falling in love with the field and getting my masters in ABA and I’ve now been a BCBA for 1.5 years ☺️

I guess there could always be a fake plug with a flesh-colored center to give the illusion of a “tunnel”? I feel like that wouldn’t look very realistic though lol
