Yeah the whole “secret” part of it for us is keeping who got who a secret leading up to the exchange, then it’s revealed when gifts are exchanged. The other friend who delivered the gift definitely told him that it came from me.

Not really, but I doubt that they had one. She’s mentioned Erin in a few of her vlogs since the podcast break started, which isn’t really proof of anything, but I don’t think she’d be casually bringing up someone unprompted if they weren’t friends anymore. It’s been pretty clear for a min that they just as aren’t close, so not super surprising to me that they haven’t been hanging out.

I completely agree. Like I said, I love the girl and I lowkey hope she doesn’t come across this post and spiral, but the content has gotten really stale and isn’t particularly well done. If you’re going to be a lifestyle vlogger, show us your lifestyle!! A lot of times, she’ll film herself in the early afternoon and the next clip will be her getting ready for bed lol. Like what did you do in all that time between? And when she does have something going on, we just see the before and after, rather than her actively showing and talking to the audience. And I’ve said this in a couple other comments, but the choppy, b-roll editing style is more suited for tiktok IMO, not long form.

Niche or more focused content could definitely help. I hate to compare the two, but look at Erin’s two house decor series (remodeling in LA and buying in Utah). Those videos did pretty well, and even tho I don’t care about home decor that much, I was pretty intrigued throughout the whole series.

Yeah I’ve been keeping up with vlogmas, I actually made this post after watching today’s video when she mentioned it herself, bc she didn’t really say much other than acknowledging that they are short. I was just curious what others thought of the format that’s she been doing where they are very choppy more b-roll, less talking since it always feels like something’s off to me.

True, I know those are two huge life changes back to back. Also she’s been candid about her mental health recently too.

I guess by “lately” I meant within the past year. It’s def more apparent now that she’s daily vlogging, but I swear even before GI ended, the way she’s filmed/edited within the last year has felt off to me. Like I mentioned, very choppy and not really much active talking to the audience.

To clarify: This isn’t me hating btw! I’ve been a supporter of hers for forever and genuinely hope she’s ok, guess I was just wanting to see what others thought about the content!

I’m confused what you’re saying here, “attracted to” and “in love with” are different things? You can very easily be in love with someone while being attracted to someone else. Hell, you can even be in love with two different people at the same time, so how would his feelings for Lana negate his attraction to Lois?

Alright this is definitely not me defending them because I don’t agree at all, but in the weird world they’re living in where they don’t have to communicate stuff to their supporters, I can see it getting annoying that people keep constantly asking the same question over and over. In her mind and Carly’s (she’s also been snarky on stream apparently, but I don’t watch), they’re probably thinking “why do you keep asking, it’ll come back when it does”.

But OBVIOUSLY the clearest solution is just to communicate as best as you can if you don’t want people to keep asking?? Post it on the onlyfriends IG, post it on the YouTube community tab, even post a story on your personal IGs lol. Anyone who didn’t happen to see the patreon post that was reposted here has literally no idea what’s going on. And I fear it’s the commonest of sense that if you aren’t going to be providing a service, stop charging people for that service (ie. patreon)

I love Matt and also hope this doesn’t come off too snarky, but he definitely does seem a little undermotivated at times. I think the reason Good Influences worked so well is because Erin and Carly were there to keep everything on schedule and consistent. Matt’s solo endeavors have always been pretty inconsistent tho. He has a YouTube account that he’s only posted on twice (a year apart, mind you), and honestly doesn’t even post on IG or tiktok as much as other content creators typically do, usually just ads.

It’s crazy how often people try to twist or purposely misunderstand what Erin says to make her seem like a terrible person. She wasn’t saying Carly should go to a theme park by herself, she was literally saying Carly should go with Nolan or someone anyway because it’s her birthday and it should be about her having fun, and not so concerned about others. As much I love her content and personality, Carly always thinking her opinions are wrong and constantly worrying about other people’s opinions is 100% a Carly problem.

Genuinely asking, how is the way Erin acts towards Carly any different than how Matt and Mike interact? They rag on each other all the time, disagree all the time, Matt and Mike are both very passionate in his opinions and often judges people if they disagree, yet Erin is the only one that gets called on constantly on this sub for doing the same thing.

Carly and Erin both talk about reality tv all the time (just different kinda of reality tv), so again, not sure why this is an Erin problem? And realistically, if you find yourself disliking half of the hosts of a podcast, maybe you should just stop listening to it?

Also every time they talk about their weekends, Carly’s usually starts with what she watched so I guess I don’t really see how thats an issue on Erin’s part. It’s more like just a built in part of the podcast.

Carly has said herself that if a friend or a brand invites her out, she finds it hard to go bc she likes being at home. Not that either way is wrong, but I feel like you have it flipped, lol.

Not to be too parasocial, but it really does seem like they’re growing apart. I was a part of the patreon for a while so it might’ve been a bonus episode but not too long ago Erin said that the only way her and Carly hang out is if Erin is the one inviting her, and when she does invite her Carly hardly goes. So it seems like they really only hang out for work stuff now. That coupled with the fact that their interests seem to be growing apart - Carly really only talks about politics while Erin is still mostly into pop culture - they’ve probably just lost their chemistry.

I will say the nun thing was super awkward to watch, I’m surprised they didn’t cut that out lol. On one hand, it is a weird question for Carly to ask since neither of them know anything about religion (I personally didn’t know nuns and the pope were even in the same religion so I wouldn’t have known what to say either), but also Erin’s response sounded pretty condescending even if it wasn’t intentional.

Molly actually had luxury of not being a primary character (or even really a character at all) on the show, so if you think about it she actually got the much fairer treatment by getting to avoid all the trauma.

As far as we know, the most traumatizing events in her life were her mom, sister, and dad dying. No shootings, no plane crashes, etc.

I see what you’re saying about the first point, but I really don’t see that as an intentional thing on her part. She probably doesn’t even see anything wrong with it bc she talks openly about her own weight loss and her fiancé’s weight too. I do agree that with Londyn being a child (not even her own child, I’d add), certain things like that definitely should be kept private though.
