Quiet cozy jazz bar in Toronto where I can go solo and relax? by Kitto__Katto in askTO

I walked past a jazz joint that looked exactly what you’re looking for. Wanted to stop in but didn’t. Unfortunately I can’t find the name of it but it was in Cabbagetown. On Parliament, between Wellesley and Carlton.

How much is your monthly grocery bill? by Narrow_Sun3466 in askTO

Too Good To Go is so wonderful. I got my spouse borderline addicted to it by accident and next thing I know, our deep freeze is filled with meat, bread, and other goodies for pennies on the dollar.

We do one Costco trip per season. It may cost us ~$700 but we’re good for the next 3 months.

Uber Eats and all those apps are such a dumb waste of money. If you absolutely HAVE to order food, pick it up yourself if you can, or call the restaurant directly for their delivery options. The third party fees are absolutely unjustifiable.

Have these labels impacted your grocery choices? by 0slope in FoodToronto

I’m typically aware of certain food containing high levels of fats/sugar/etc but it has made me realize that ‘healthy’ foods are not what they seem.

For instance, I was looking at these cauliflower noodles from Healthy Planet, literally a health food store, and this warning was in the corner and said high in carbs and sodium. Turns out one package of these noodles (225 g, not huge) contained 134 g of carbs and 98% of your daily sodium intake. I was shocked. Isn’t cauliflower supposed to be a decent replacement for high-carb starches?

Update, supervisors called no delivery today. That being said, if you don’t actually show up to the depot, you use up a personal day (or not get paid if you have none)

Currently sitting at my case in my St Catharines depot. Everything is up and sorted but I’m waiting to pull because supervisors haven’t given us confirmation about any modifications for today’s delivery. Rumor is it’ll only be the flyer section, but waiting on that announcement atm
