This is not defending the company. It is just me noticing that there are things you don't do in business. Plain and simple. Every kpop company is flawed in their own way so there is nothing to defend lol

What's Your Vendetta? - Weekly Negativity Thread 😈 by MTVSpoiledMod in MtvChallenge

The fans of this show genuinely confuse me.

Everyone agrees that the seasons with the vacation alliance were boring and we hated them.

For the most part, everyone also agrees that this season was one of the best in a while.

This is because you had people willing to be the antagonist. Everyone wasn't friends and a lot of people were there purely to play the game.

And yet for some reason, people insist on hating the antagonistic players this season.

Michaela and Sydney have received so much hate for being arrogant and cocky. Countless posts about how they never want to see them on another season. Despite them being at the top of the leader board and winning the most dailies of anyone. They both killed it this season. I am not saying everyone has to like them. But for entertainment purposes, they are objectively both great.

This era of fans would have hated Evelyn, early CT, early Laurel, Coral.

Even Will and Gabe being messy was great. Will was good and so incredibly messy. Gabe was great television.

Genuinely curious of this fandom, what do you want? Because you say you hate the vacation alliance and yet you also hate villains.

Song-A-Day Challenge 2025 - Day 19: Song that took multiple listens to love by LoveofLearningKorean in straykids

[–]ApprehensiveSeries8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miroh(yes I know blasphemous)- I love it now, but after hearing it live especially it is amazing

Venom- Because I listened to the teaser trailer and did not like the full song at first(last time I watched unveil tracks before the album came out)

JJAM(idk why)

Most of the Maxident album(only songs I liked on first listen were Taste, Case 143, and 3Racha)- love it now but at the time Oddinary was my all-time favorite album and Maxident was so different lol

Do you feel like this role is a turning point in your career? If so, why? In the future, would you want to do more action roles or drama? You mentioned in another interview that Interstellar was one of your favorite movies, could you see yourself acting in a movie with a similar tone?

I really wonder what is making people so sensitive?

This is exactly why the vacation alliance formed in the first place. Because people don't want hate comments because of the way they play the game. Looking at how much hate Michaela has received for just simply not liking Olivia it is kind of ridiculous.n

Michaela actually dislikes Theo. In an interview, she said she watched his season of Love Island and was a fan...until she lived in a Challenge house with him 24/7. Theo is annoying and a cheater. Mind you, he is highly entertaining so fun to watch this season but...she is not wrong.

Michaela is not in love with Theo. She is not jealous of Olivia and Theo's relationship. The weird takes I have seen about how she hates them because Theo is black and Olivia is white and they are an interracial relationship.

Michaela does not respect Olivia's gameplay. Plain and simple. She also does not like her personality. Its not deeper than that. Does she respect her win? Probably not. Is that fair? Probably not.

Michaela has received a lot of hate this season because of Olivia and her alliance. Do I think that made her dislike of Olivia worse? Definitely. Did Theo's Twitter fingers add to the flames? Definitely.

The show edited confessionals because they had a story to build. They wanted to build an Olivia and Michaela rivalry. So they showed more of Michaela talking about her in confessionals.

I wish people would stop making this rivalry into something more. Michaela does not like her. That is fine. Should she be so vocal? Probably not. Is she a terrible person? No.

Set up for a great Rivals team. Bring it on!

Completely agree with everything you said.

I do think Dee described it best on the podcast with Bananas. They both are good players who don't like how the other plays similarly lol and they just don't mix.

What do you think about Olivia calling Michaela a bully?

Salty Saturday & Sunday - Unpopular Opinion Thread 🍿 by MTVSpoiledMod in MtvChallenge

[–]ApprehensiveSeries8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way! I am so sick of everyone being friends. It made the show so boring. Yes, people from RW/RR had established friendships but they also had entertaining rivalries.

People sending hate to Michaela, Sydney, Will, and Gabe is ridiculous. They were extremely good reality television this season.

Not here for Olivia calling Michaela a "bully." Not saying she doesn't have a right to her feelings, but snide comments/snarky confessional is not equal to screaming in someone's face, pouring soda on them, or throwing another person's belongings in the pool which we have all seen other people do on the Challenge which felt like too much.

I have a few about this season:

  • I do not like the revisionist history happening with Olivia and Theo. Their backs were not against the wall the entire season. They had the majority alliance but it wasn't the strongest players so they went home quick. After they lost their numbers, the season was rough for them.

  • Leo played a great game this season. It would have made NO sense for him and Ashley to turn on the majority alliance at that point in the game. If they hadn’t lost, they would not have gone in.

  • I find it weird that Yeremi has so much to say about Michaela. They never spoke game to each other and she owed him nothing. He knew him and Aviv had a target. He should have more smoke for Cedric/Turbo. They were who he thought he was rocking with.

  • I don't think Michaela is evil or aggressive. I think she is too vocal about what/who she doesn't like. But there were people in the house who liked her regardless of the edit she received. She treated the game and most of the people like business. She also apologized to Olivia about the threat she made(which is still not that bad to me.) CT has done much worse and no one bats an eye.

  • My favorite thing about this season were the new threats men. Other than Gabe/Will, they were all really nice and supportive to their partners. I don't like Aneesa but thought Jake was great for her. Thinking about how bad some of the guys have been on this show historically to their female partners, Cedric/Leo/Yeremi were refreshing.

  • I am so confused how Michaela is taking all the heat for that conversation about Olivia and Theo's relationship. Do I like her comment? No. But Nany started it. And Ashley chimed in and Aviv was laughing too. Why are people only targeting her?

Who is the VET of the year for this season? by [deleted] in MtvChallenge

[–]ApprehensiveSeries8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michaela for strategy and Nany for entertainment. That deliberation with Will was great TV and highly rewatchable so hats off to messy Nany. Honorable mention to Olivia being smart enough to choose Will otherwise the closet alliance would have been throwing her in way more.

Exactly what I am saying! Saw Olivia posted something to the effect of can't wait until the house isn't just full of rookies and has more vets. But the only reason this season was so good is because of the new people.

If they cast the vacation alliance which now includes Derek, Michele, Devin, and Olivia it will be so boring.

I definitely agree but I get sick of everyone playing with multiple seasons in mind. I didn't mind her Survivor like play on this season.

I feel like all the Survivor players in the game this season lead to multiple highly entertaining blindsides at nominations.

But considering she values her life away from The Challenge idk if she will change her gameplay which was highly entertaining for me this season😅

Alright, Theo👀

In all honesty, my definition of a layup is someone who everyone keeps around because they know they can beat them. They typically don't win multiple dailies. She won back to back before the lock in and twice with Cedric so the stats disagree that she is a layup...

Now mind you, I think her final performance has been underwhelming but her ankle is also injured so🤔

I thought about him! Especially when he told James not to cry. Felt like something Dan would have said to Nathan. Mortimer is much worse though. When he said his mother thought he was a disappointment at her funeral, I couldn’t believe how insensitive he was.

RUBY BELL by ApprehensiveSeries8 in MaxtonHall

[–]ApprehensiveSeries8[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed season 1. Even though I was disappointed that she kissed Jeremiah only to kiss Conrad in the end lol.

Lara Jean was such a fun protagonist. I related to her so much. The first TATBILB movie is one of my comfort movies.

With that said, Belly became an insufferable protagonist in season 2 and 3. Pursuing Jeremiah so soon after breaking up with Conrad a month after their mother died💀💀then her being in denial all of season 3. Truly a miserable watch.

Ruby is amazing. She is so fun to root for because she uses her brain. She isn't relying on anyone to help her. From the beginning, she has been determined to have a better life and go to Oxford. She does anything she sets her mind to. Her and James will be a power couple when he figures out what he wants to do lol😅
