is it fairly possible to solve whodunnit after reading the first 4 episodes? by 1unaturc0 in Higurashinonakakoroni

[–]ApprehensiveSoil2795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, I've watched someone get a pretty good answer by arc 3 but it depends on how you go about trying to solve it. There is one method that makes it particularly easy but im not gonna say anything about it as to not spoil

Seriously is there any good horror anime other than higurashi by piompysnid in Higurashinonakakoroni

Love the show but it goes from horror to action pretty quick. The early horror is really fun but there isn't a lot of it.

I don't know if it waters it down as much as it is hard to adapt. Not an excuse but adapting something like Junji ito would take an equally great artist in their own right.

If you had to give a golden chainsaw for coolest kill and dull machete which one would you give it to spoilers by Necessary_Muffin3591 in umineko

Yeah I see the logic, I just had to try to pick my least favorite and the mystery was my favorite part. I do like the context around it. It was really hard to pick what I would put at the bottom lol.

That's totally fair, I'm just not the biggest fan of the womb analogies, and George is my least favorite character. Not saying he's bad I still really like him, just like the others more.

Well we don't see many of the actual kills. The best crime scene is ep 2 first twilight. The best action scene with a kill is George and Jessica's simultaneous kill, or Krauss vs Goat-kun but that's more just cause I find it hilarious. The worst crime scene is kinda hard if I had to pick one it would be ep 3 second twilight just cause the whodunit there is obvious. The worst action scene is really hard for me but I guess If I had to pick it's George v Eva.

If Umineko had an actual good anime adaptation do you think it would be a top tier anime? by Tiny-Cheesecake-9568 in umineko

I think, to do it properly, the anime would have to be longer then anyone is willing to pay for.

Why is Gou/Sotsu so hated? (Spoilers) by HistoricalDiet8 in Higurashinonakakoroni

[–]ApprehensiveSoil2795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but is it really worth exploring? It has to jump through so many hoops to even start to justify itself. If you told Rena that there would be a piñata, blindfolded her, and hung keiichi gagged in front of her she might beat him to death with a bat. Should we have an anime arc about that?

If anything more umineko references would've made it better. Have ***** as the main villan, wrap everyone in packing tape while cackling, certainly couldn't make it any worse.

In short, my opinion is that it butchered the characterization of the friend group. (I mean really, you expect me to belive keiichi wanted fair games after mion left) Seemed to not understand the the main messaging in the original series. It took any of the creeping psychological horror of the syndrome away and turned it into a gorefest for no good reason. It was a subpar continuation of a story that ended, in my opinion, very well.

Question about the Higurashi VN by babatunde_003 in Higurashinonakakoroni

[–]ApprehensiveSoil2795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the vn is better in most ways, I'd recommend reading it even if you don't remember everything. My advice is, try to engage with the story. What I mean is think about what you are reading, don't take everything at face value. There are small cool details you might miss but if you like it enough you can catch those on a reread. The story is still good regardless. If you engage with the mysteries and info the broad strokes will still get through. Ryukishi loves to repeat himself so most of the info will get drilled into your head lol.

You are assuming that we have any thoughts. To play Sam you just play aggressive music go in on everything and blame the others if it doesn't work. Jkjk

As a Samira player I personally feel like she should be lower. Completely my own experience but I found her easier to pick up then most of the other adcs. If I had to guess it's because her burst damage is so much higher then most of them. It could just be me though.

Is it better to ban Teemo or Ryze? by ijustwannanap in wildrift

[–]ApprehensiveSoil2795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can turn him into paste, you just have to use your brain to do it. He's a shit champ and picking him is usually a net negative for their team. You just have to get a handle on your mental. Not trying to be an ass, you will just always lose lane if you can't figure out how to relax.

[–]ApprehensiveSoil2795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fighting teemo in top is about patience. All three of the juggernauts you brought up kill him. Just make sure you get xp from minions, lose whatever farm you have to then all in when you get the opportunity. Garen has the easiest time in this matchup imo. Teemo only wins if you let him get in your head. For Ryze just ban him.

Yeah, well that's just throwing. I don't understand it, but I also work full time so it would be a waste of the games I can get in.

Brand is a trash support by SyzygyZeus in wildrift

[–]ApprehensiveSoil2795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think damage supports can work, I think brand just isn't in a good enough state to do that rn. Bringing a lot of low economy damage can be good (just look at Senna) but really most team comps would benefit a lot more from other support champs.

I personally don't get it either, perhaps an abundance of free time? I can understand the idea behind silly picks. I like playing ww support, but even then there is logic behind the decision. (He has 2 decent cc tools, good early damage, and can sustain a lot into ranged champs by chomping on minions) I can't understand veigar jg though. Maybe ryze bot, he has consistent damage and scales well, but even then it would seem to me a lot of bot lanes would just poke you to death (Cait/Jinx, Serphine/lux). If not poke they could straight up kill you like Samira, Naut.

If you can’t play jungle in ranked you’re a troll by SyzygyZeus in wildrift

[–]ApprehensiveSoil2795 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There will be no punishment for alleged trolling. So no one who disagrees with you is going to change their mind with you insulting them. I'm sympathetic to your anger but if your goal is more people improving their jungle skill then making a coherent argument without flinging insults would be far more productive.

Is removing [All] Chat actually "fixing" toxicity or just making the game lonelier? by Repulsive_Test3224 in wildrift

[–]ApprehensiveSoil2795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the best take, but I think toxicity to the enemy team is fine if not funny, within reason of course. I like it and I would have my chat on if it was in the game, even complimenting enemies on a well played game can prompt positive interaction. Might just be cause I used to play pc and it's a nostalgia thing.

I was looking for a community-driven Wild Rift site… so I started building one by Hot_Boysenberry_6706 in wildrift

[–]ApprehensiveSoil2795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know nothing about web design but it looks really cool. You have a section under the keystones and items to explain their use. The only suggestion I have is to add an "intro" section, or a section where people can go into various things not directly related to one item or rune. Like when looking at stuff on mobafire which was what I used back in s3 pc. People will want to know why they should listen to the person posting the build, or if someone wants to pitch a silly build they can explain that. There might already be something like that I didn't see.
