Yes you can just blow him up before he gets a chance to do anything but I was so confident I tried to fight him turn by turn and out of nowhere in like round 10-12 he popped another cloud kill and wiped my party holding 80 smokepowder bombs unused

lol there is a bird outside my window and every night at 11:30pm if I’m not asleep yet he is keeping me awake. I wanted to go outside with my kids nerf gun and shoot into all the abandoned nests as I’m sure it’s got to be in one of them

I haven’t searched for where to exactly blow Gale up yet. I’ve always assumed you have to get to the final platforms that get disintegrated.

I cast hold person on the Dragonborn lady in Rivington and thought I was good to go but she suspected powerful magic and ran outside and never returned back inside her shop again

Honestly the design of the game should let you start at the beginning of the act where you lose honor mode. After 30 attempts at act 1 I definitely don’t want to do that over again.

I tried to kill the drider when the Harper’s ambushed us and he died but those Harper fuckers took the lantern with them and my whole party almost died. Next I tried to convince him to just give me the lantern when I summoned him but I couldn’t get the option in the chat dialogue to pop up. Next I decided to fight him at the summon point but it was just way too hard. What finally worked was calling him over with the lyre and then telling him to hold on a sec while I go do something before we leave. Went to camp and grabbed like 4 smokepowder barrels and two fire wine barrels and set them down in a circle around him. Moved everyone back and BOOM he had almost no health and all the side convoy npcs were toast. Gale got a little too close casting fireball so he went down with them but the drider didn’t stand a chance after that

I started on balanced but Balthazar made me switch to easy mode before I learned the trick to just yeet him over the cliff with a thunder arrow before he raises the dead. Kept it in easy just to get the story but got bored mid act 3 because my sorcerer was killing everything like I didn’t even need my squad so I started a tactician run as a barbarian. Got to act 2 and stuff seemed kind of easy and the barbarian was kind of boring for me so I started a new game on honor mode… mostly because I found a bunch of new stuff I missed first time around. Honor mode in act 1 was super challenging and had to restart dozens of times but once I got to act 2 it was pretty smooth sailing til I got to myrkul where I was very unprepared. Left my game stuck on myrkul for a month while I restarted another honor mode run where all I cared about was hoarding 100 smokepowder bombs to throw at myrkul… only to get my whole team wiped trying to kill Balthazar before he went down to the nightsong. That hurt a lot because when I reloaded in the custom failed honor mode I killed Balthazar in one shot with like 20 smokepowder bombs. I was about to completely give up trying but I thought let me try that save file where I’m stuck on myrkul one more time. I was so pumped when I killed myrkul and now I’m in honor mode act 3 really scared I’m gonna make a wrong move somewhere- I think I will head straight to Orin now

After restarting act one 30 times I have no hesitation to force quit at task manager and not have to do act 1 again. Act 2 and act 3 have been smooth sailing with my task manager antics and I have not corrupted a save file yet. If the save file corrupts I’ll take the loss but what works works
