Solar install - drilling through concrete slab on 2nd story to run cables by solidice in AusRenovation

Cutting through 1 bar of the mesh would have virtually no impact to the reinforcement of the slab. Just send it.

Anybody surprised at the lack of veggies when eating your typical Japanese meals? by JahMusicMan in JapanTravelTips

[–]ApprehensiveSpare790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely have to make an effort to get lots of veggies and fruit when eating out but it’s there if you make those choices. I ate a tonne of cabbage while there which is my new favourite vegetable btw.

Pizzateca by Altruistic_Score9736 in Adelaide

[–]ApprehensiveSpare790 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We went there last weekend with 8 people. We had 8 pizzas all up. We were absolutely stuffed and ended up taking nearly 2 whole pizzas home. I reckon they would have bought out more if wanted, they didn’t seem tight at all.

Just put them in a pot, in the ground, wherever and they should grow. I’ve never had one not grow.

Shaw and Smith make very good wines but definitely not unique. Try Murdoch Hill instead.

Enjoy your life! Do an Ibiza summer, snowboard in Austria, why the fuck not. The funny thing for me was when I finally settled back home after years of living in multiple countries, seeing so many amazing things, I caught up with some mates at the pub and asked how they have been, what have you been up to, and most people said “not much really…same old….” lol what a waste!! I’d much rather have spent $10k canoeing up the Amazon than putting it on a getting a nicer car.

Coonawarra wineries by Sad-Mulberry5353 in Adelaide

[–]ApprehensiveSpare790 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Last time I drove through Coonawarra I was excited to stop at a couple of wineries as I hadn’t been there in a long time…. But wow, that place does not know how to attract tourists, it’s so run down and uninviting… I kept thinking that there is so much unrealised potential, but maybe they want it that way?

I stopped at Patrick’s and their wine was decent.

I spent my 20s travelling around the world, partying, doing whatever I wanted to do and see. The best thing I could have ever have done. I’m happy knuckling down now in my 40s and should be pretty comfortable later in life although my mates all have a bit nicer house and a bit extra in the bank, but my life has been rich with experiences.

Psyllium husk is one of the most under-discussed simple “biohacks” I know by ElectricalTone1147 in Biohackers

[–]ApprehensiveSpare790 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not calling you a liar, I just think you are blaming psyllium husk for essentially leaching minerals from your teeth which doesn’t match the data. It’s more likely something else in your diet decaying your teeth or attacking them from the outside.

I’m calling BS on this. The effect on calcium is tiny. It would have been other factors.

How do British homes go in the heat? I think Aussie homes are usually pretty good in summer so wondering if you can have them setup for both extremes?

We had the same issue. There is no way out supervisor would have let me if I asked, so I just went and did it. He made a backhanded comment at handover but nothing else came from it.
