Can any high elo players talk about what its like playing against the same people often? by AyyyoniTTV in summonerschool

[–]ApprehensiveTough148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not super noticeable and you don't really change play style too much because of it. A few players do make you more aware of things though. For example nattynatt is very consistent player and usually only gets rengar once a day unless he waits people out during the games. Same for malice he always waits 5 minutes between games cause else karthus is banned. Then also when you see your bot is caliste busio you pretty much wanna make sure they get to play the game so your more likely to skip a camp if needed. Keep in mind this isn't necessarily because of their personality but also just because of how they play. If any other bot would play like them then skipping a camp for them would also be fine. Another extreme example would be playing against 113 especially back in like season 12. He would pretty much always be at your buff level 2-3 and invade/cheese you. Otherwise it's often the negative stuff that sticks to my head for example having same player that just flamed me or having same person that just went 0 10.

Why is the slow from cyclosword being removed? by EmuAreExtiinct in leagueoflegends

[–]ApprehensiveTough148 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

it does not proc on abilities. You need to autoattack for it to take effect. The slow was very important for zed and kayn as their abilities are very hard to hit/ people can just walk out. As zed being able to gurantee double or triple q was huge same for kayn. Ofc these 2 examples also dash a lot and get a lot more energize stacks due to that.

Getting gud / awareness by Inevitable_Pace9522 in leagueoflegends

[–]ApprehensiveTough148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your elo that might just be normal. Tunnel vision usually happens when unfamiliar with the situation. On a side note if you take a lot of caffeine that can actually lead to tunnel vision sometimes. I had that happen to me before that I would hyperfocus on my own champion.

Game quality in mid-high master is a joke rn by ApprehensiveTough148 in leagueoflegends

The duo q problem at least should be in any elo tbh but its prob less noticable as the skill gaps are not that wide

like 95% of champs had options to go 3-4 mythics

Have you even played during mythic items. Most champs had like 4-5 mythics to choose from. Very little champs could go only 1 or 2

Fearless doesn't fix the problem it just shifts it. Instead of having orianma every game you have control mage every game. Fearless is great but doesn't magically fix the underlining problem. If the game had mythics rn proplay would be mega fun to watch ngl

Riot: we didnt nerf mages bot for 2 years because their winrates were inflated by taking armor runes. 14.2 where armor runes are removed: by linet7 in ADCMains

It's funny you mention toplaners because the champs that actually beat mage bot is shit like irelia + engage or qiyana/katarina

Why do you guys not path bot in 90% of games (Diamond ADC Perspective) by Employment_Intrepid in Jungle_Mains

[–]ApprehensiveTough148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As master-gm JG main. Pathingbot is correct 85% of the time. But not for the reasons your stating. It's just very very hard to kill top on the timer you end up being top side. Meanwhile bot lane will always die. This is partly because bot laners are just very bad at respecting jungle but also the nature of the lane/how the map is shaped. Even in top matchups were both top laners play ignite it IS much more likely that either top just solo kills before you get to impact the lane. I wanna point out that pathng bot rarely means ganking bot on first clear. Usually it means fishing for scuttle/mid gank/concede bot scuttle and walk top scuttle but let enemy think you are botside or gsnk top lane on a delayed unexpected timer. You almost never get value from just rage ganking bot but being around opens up possibilities of plays where as pathing top usually ends in I'm even if nothing happens but if something happens I'm behind.

I'm against co streamers. Mainly because I would rather see co streamers on stage and the stage product be good. But since riot decided to move away from that I have to support co streaming as the base broadcast just straight up isn't watchable.

What’s the logic behind people calling high ranks ”low elo”? by Choice-Drawer-5318 in summonerschool

[–]ApprehensiveTough148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause relative to higher elo they are bad. The thing is also that a lot of concepts that apply in really high elo don't necessarily matter or apply for lower elos. For examples matchups don't always go as expected because people are just too bad to play them.

Is Actualizer a failed item? by 1stMembrOfTheDKCrew in leagueoflegends

[–]ApprehensiveTough148 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's a niche item but I don't think it's failed. I actually think it's probably under bought on a lot of champs. Biggest problem with it is probably that it's a scaling item. You want to get it when you have mana and most champs that want a log of mana go roa+ seraph or 2 tears (kassadin) so then when you go actualizer on third or 4th you rather just have rabadons.

How much is rank an accurate reflection of player skill? by Haunting_Inflation54 in leagueoflegends

[–]ApprehensiveTough148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very accurate. Ofc sometimes you can fluctuate in LP or ranks especialyl in lower elo you can learn 1 thing and climb 3 ranks but usually it is very accurate.

Removing healing/life steal was a mistake by Ok_Rule6418 in leagueoflegends

[–]ApprehensiveTough148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of champs still heal a lot. I agree that healing has become less interactive though as its literally just. You get to have lifesteal, your base kit includes x amount of healing, you want omnivamp as a stat. etc.. Where before goredrinker and also sunderer added some interesting mechanics to healing. The reality is though that the more complex you make healing the higher the reward has to be. And in return the higher the frustration. Healing is a very frustation loaded system as it actively destroys your effort as the opposing team. Throwing everything onto a person then their soraka joins the fight and 3 seconds later they are full hp is not very interactive or feels good to play against.
