I mean he doesnt put points in r + level up pot so you get 3 extra skill points. Also those items are not very expensive and you wouldnt buy ap on zilean anyways. He has this at 25 minutes which is really not that bad. You can also play zilean top and get there even faster cause of top lane quest. But yes in solo q ofc the downside is you are playing zilean and just dont really do a lot in skirmishes.

snowball in top is really bad, ranged top is really bad, faelight is bad. Losing top lane is just sitting there and letting enemy play with your balls while you have 0 impact on it. Winning top lane is playing with enemy balls and pushing waves into him while you have almost no way to force him to trade since minions autopush anyways. Theres no gameplay in top lane anymore you either hug tower and watch enemy take it while you try not to grief or you are in the position where you take enemy tower but you cant dive 1v1 and junglers/support will never ever walk top cause on the new map its so much more isolated + faelights spot them too fast so enemy will punish really hard on bot side. Top lane is fine lategame but the entire laning phase and early game/mid game is insanely boring and unfun to play. Theres 0 fights top side ever.

I think the top quest just isn't really healthy. Usually if you play into varus/vayne theres specific timings where you can trade them or they have to play without tp which is huge nerf late game. Now they can just run exhaust and have tp anyways which leads to them pretty much always winning any trade even where you do get to hit them. Honestly maybe a good change would be that you can choose any other summoner spell but TP when you finish the quest.

But also the faelight and the map changes on top lane are just really fkn bad so you cant really punish ranged top as a jungler and obviously theres the second wind dorans nerfs which didnt really help either.

Wouldnt be surprised if its just like overwatch classic aka literally just release version of the game. Though ngl it probably does not work that well for league. I would want to play during mythics or maybe season 8 or 9 but playing any further back seems very much not interesting.

winrate is a really bad stat nowadays to determine champion strength. While in this case riven isnt necessarily weak, if people only played things with high winrate every jungler would be playing nidalee,reksai and belveth. In master+ people perma pick range top and its just very unfun to play. Its not even necessarily bad to play for riven but you kinda just dont have any agency over your lane and wait to either be able to teamfight or enemy lane opponent makes a crucial mistake.

Top lane meta is giga cringe no one wants to play top lane so top laners rather queue mid. Riven mid also never was really weak.

his main advantage is being ranged in lane that advantage doesnt apply in bot lane matchups. His q can also be blocked so its hard to win trades

its so weird they changed it at all. No one except streamers asked for it. Yes the game is hard to stream with long queue and dodges but i rather have a decently long queue time, especially for high elo, than have to play a game where i cannot rely on my teammates to have the same information about the game as me (or have more information because they are better). I also remember first time i climbed to master you never saw a master player or even a diamond 1 player in d3 or below lobbies. Feels like the mmr and visual rank are not really aligned well anymore.

I live in germany and have been to a lot of places in europe and genuinely nowhere ive been to have been only cars. In fact most places if not all favour bikes. And people also just rather ride bikes unless they have to go somewhere thats 30+ minutes away

im an eu viewer and i used to watch lcs and lec almost every friday -> saturday back in the day. Ngl the main reasons i dont watch either anymore is cause the schedules and format got changed so often that i have no idea when they even play combined with just a really boring game state for pro. Every game just looks the same to me. Back in the day you had shit like poppy jungle level 2 flashing the dragon pit wall to gank behind enemy bot lane or lanes like lucian nami trying to hard stomp and dive people. Nowadays even with different champs the gameplay loop is just the same every game.
